• She wanted to dissappear. Just sink down into the grass and be lost amongst the weeds and flowers. She wanted to know nothing of heartbreak or pain, just the warm, sunny green that could engulf her, leaving no traces that she'd ever existed. But it was early september now - the grass was cut close to the earth, and had already turned an ugly shade of tan. It was dead now. Everything was dead. Beauty had flown away, leaving only regret and betrayal behind. She had cried. Lovers had lied. Stuck in the bizzare world before winter but after summer, there was no where to escape to. She'd have to stay here, inches away from perfection, from redemption, seperated by the cruelest trap of fate that she'd ever walked into.
...She wanted to dissappear. To lose herself. To hide.

Of course she'd gone and found herself a runaway angel, with soot-grey wings that left so many feathers trailing in his wake. He was perfection and beauty in her eyes, the closest thing she'd ever have to Heaven. But she'd made stupid mistakes and she'd fallen from the skies, past the stars, straight into her own personal hell. Like Belial. Like Lucifer.
Of course, that b***h would swan up the second she left and trap him in her claws. It was natural. She could taste the witch's magic, noticing it at work on the fragile boy every day, slowly clouding his better judgement and pulling him closer, closer....
And now, sitting in the dead grass beside the Angel and the Whore, the air was unbelievably thick with lies and secrets. She noticed the influence in his love-blind eyes, and wondered how she of all people could have seduced him. Behind that demon's pretty little mask, her face was twisted and black and ugly. Couldn't he see that? She wanted to scream for him to look past the glamour and glitz, to see the monster that dwells just below the surface...but she knew he'd never see the gorgon for what she was. In the Angel's clouded eyes, that banshee seemed perfect. Now she was the monster, the ill-fated Medusa, here to turn lover to stone with one glance. She wanted to reach for him, to cry out, no, please, I'm not the monster, I promise...
It would be a lie. Even now she could feel the scales spreading across her skin, claws stretching from her fingertips, fangs sharpening to leave the metallic taste of blood on her lips. And the monster inside her was ready to attack. She could be Alecto, Tisiphone, Megaera; any of the Erinnyes, and the gorgon would know exactly what she'd been thinking of. She'd drag that b***h down to hell with her if she got the chance. Her muscles coiled. She readied herself to spring.
....Suddenly the angel was focused on her again. For a moment, the magic cleared, revealing green eyes that glittered like emeralds. With a simple smile, the scales retreated, the fangs dissappeared, the claws retracted. She felt as if he were the one with Medusa's strange curse, turning her body to marble as she met his gaze. Time stopped for them. The world went silent. She wanted to cling to him, to fling herself into his arms and beg forgiveness for all her sins...
Then he was gone again, under the Banshee's control, but her faith had been renewed. He had broken free and chosen to smile. Just for her. She would save him. He had always been her angel. Now she would be his. She would give up her sinful nature, her vindictive ways, her evil thoughts. All for him.
That b***h would never harm her Angel. Not if she could help it.
Someday, when the magic was gone and the grass was once again green, they could fly away...
    Together.
