• Chapter 2

I’m so confused, everything is changing so fast. With Max dying and Caleb. I’m just confused. After what had happened last night, Caleb walked me home and left it at that. I don’t know where I stand with him, but … I was walking down the path in my back yard. It seems empty out here now… I really should get out? Maybe I should go to Santoros, I don’t feel like cooking. So I decided to go to Santoros. I walked instead of driving, even though it is only a ten minute walk Max and I usually would have driven.
When I got to the restaurant I spotted Caleb and his friends in the corner, surrounded by girls obviously, but I decided to go in anyways. I kept low and headed straight for the counter. There was a small line so I waited, thinking it will only take a couple of minutes. And I couldn’t help it, I had to look to see Caleb. So I did, quickly, but just quick enough to see Abbey, one of the highest nobilities all over him, with him just sitting there talking to his friends doing nothing to stop her, like last night had never happened. I shouldn’t have looked, well I guess I should have known. It was probably because he felt sorry for me. “ Excuse me, miss, Miss what would you like?”
“Huh, Oh I’ll have a small cheese pizza and a tossed salad, please. And I’m gonna grab a Coke.” I ordered the meal dazed, as grabbing a coke from the fridge. “Okay, one small cheese, a tossed salad, and a coke, is this for here or to go?” He asked. “ To-”
“For here.” What?! I looked up and saw Caleb standing at my side. “Okay, for here than.” The man behind the counter said a bit confused. “Hey, What you weren’t going to say hi?”
“Uh, well you looked a bit busy, I just…hey.” I said blushing deep red, well that’s what it felt like anyways. “Order up, here come hang with us.” Caleb said grabbing my food and handing the man money for my meal. “You didn’t-”
“No problem, come on.” He said balancing my food on one hand and putting his free one around my waist. I didn’t know what to do so I followed, and I didn’t know what to say so I opened the bottle of coke and took a sip. “Hey guys, you know Ness.”
“Ya, Hey what’s up? Sorry about you bro., Sit, sit.” Many of them were saying. Granted many of the girls, Abbey in particular wasn’t very pleased with my appearance, especially with Caleb having his arm around me, but I sat down in the corner of the bench anyways.
The conversations consisted mostly of sports, clubs, and familiars with the guys and as for the girls new nail varnishes, hair styles, and the new diets the were trying. I so don’t feel like I fit in with this crowd, this is more my brothers type of group. The guys are fine, skater punks, kinda hard core-ish. It was more the girls, they are the pretty in pink preps, and I’m more of the blacks my style, shops at hot topic, go red, black, and Tripp pants kinda girl. Just look at half of them, halter tops, short shorts, short skirts, and MY GOD seriously no one cares what underwear your wearing so don’t let it hang out. And as for me, what was I wearing?! A pair of jeans with a black skirt, a pair of guy sneakers, and a My Chemical Romance T-shirt. As this was going through my head, and conversation was going on I had eaten my salad and was finishing off my pizza, a girls got to eat especially after not eating for two days, but apparently being a girl, an eating more than just half a salad was just not right in the world of Abbey and pinks. That’s what I’ll call them Abbey and the pinks. Cause in front of everyone Abbey was like, “ God Ness, eating for five.” The pinks were laughing because apparently this was hysterical to them. Some of the guys were just smirking, some laughed a little too. My god this is so embarrassing. “No wonder your brother never took you along with us. He was to embarrassed to be seen with you.” She said laughing, though many of the pinks and all of the previous laughing and smirking guys had stopped. “That’s low even for you, ABBAGIAL.” I said standing up on the bench and hopping over the back, and walking out. As I passed Abbey she said sarcastically, “Aww, what poor baby Nessy gonna go cry now?”
“******** you, Abbey.” I said back. An then I stormed out of there. I was about halfway home when I broke down crying, and a couple of seconds later Caleb was there holding me in a warm embrace.
He walked me the rest of the way home, and brought me to the door. “My god this place just seems so empty. It’s so big and I’m the only one here.” I said tears streaming down my face slowly now. “Hey do you want to crash at my pad? I have a guest room?”
“Uh, really? I wouldn’t be a problem for you, or anything.” I said unsure. “Ness.” I looked up, and he pressed his lips against mine with this force that was new to me. He pulled away abruptly, “You would never be a problem.”

    Chapter 3

I had grabbed a small duffel bag of things and then we went over to his place. Caleb’s place was one of the top vampire party houses, dance floor, bar, Jacuzzi, and that’s just down stairs. The really place was upstairs, though. The bedrooms I mean. It was nice, a lot better than my place. He took me to the spare room and showed me how the bathroom was conjoined. So if I am to use it to just lock both doors. Also the upstairs Jacuzzi was open to me at anytime.
After I finish unpacking the little I brought, I went back out to the living room. Caleb was sprawled out on the couch watching a re-run of a Family Guy episode. I believe it was the one were Meg falls in love with Brian, it’s hilarious, I love this episode. But I couldn’t take my eyes off of Caleb.
He must have felt me watching him, because he looked up at me. “Hey, Come lay down here.” He said patting the couch next to him. I walked over to the couch, and sat down about half way between both ends. Caleb sat up a bit, so his back was rested against the arm of the couch and was facing me more. He grabbed my arm gently and lowered me so my head rested against his chest. I curled up into his warm chest, taking in the smell, warmth, and beating of his heart, as he kissed the top of my head and stroked my back. I looked up at him and he looked down at me with a soft expression, and I melted. I placed my left hand against his cheek and kissed him. His kisses are amazing, don’t get me wrong, I’ve been kissed by guys before but he was different. And the way his tongue felt against mine was like liquid fire burning throughout my body. And you’ve heard of French kissing, but have you ever heard of Transylvanian kissing. And my god, he was so god damn good at it. But was that a bad thing or a good thing? Well who really cares at this moment in time. All I know is he is so… he’s my sun.
I pulled away first, but lingered before completely pulling away, and laid my head back down upon his chest. As we watched some re-runs of Family Guy he rubbed my back in a soothing motion, that was putting me in a sleep haze and next thing everything faded.

When I woke up, Caleb was gone and the room was pitch black, though I could see okay for having vampire vision and all. I stirred a bit and heard the noise of something moving towards me. “Mhmm, Caleb?” I said drowsily. “Shhh, Go back to sleep. I’m right here.” Caleb said as he slid back on the couch with me, and to my surprise he had no shirt on. My god he has smooth skin, and damn a nice six-pack. And he’s so warm. I thought as I cuddled into his embrace. He pulled a blanket down from the back of the couch and placed it over us.

    …And he’s all mine.
