• “Wow, that’s high.” Axel said looking down from the highest tower of the castle. His long red hair fell forward into his face. He brushed it away, only to have it fall back. “I’ll go first, I guess.”

He turned to Demyx and Roxas who were currently tying the end of a long cord tightly around a pole sticking up from the top of the tower. Roxas tossed him the other end.

“Better you than me.” The blonde smiled at his best friend.

“Wait a second, Axel.” Demyx ran over smiling. He pulled out a tub of hair gel and rubbed it roughly into Axel’s red hair.

“Get off!” Axel said pushing him away, “What was that about?”

“Well, when you fall the wind will push you hair back and this stuff is suppose to be the best so it’ll make your hair stick back!” Demyx smiled at his genius.

“Okay, sure, whatever.” Axel said pushing a sticky bang out of his eyes, “You guys checked the rope?”

There was no objection from the two, so Axel walked over to the side, took a breath, and jumped. Demyx and Roxas rushed to the side to watch their friend fall waiting for the cord to snap and send him fly back up. Only it didn’t.

Axel felt the cord break above him. “Oh Sh--!”

Demyx and Roxas watched in shock.

“I, uh, I have a mission, yeah a mission, in Atlantica! To, yeah, got to go!” Demyx said as he disappeared.

Roxas looked over the edge hoping to see Axel dusting himself off, but Axel wasn’t there. Yeah, it was a long fall, but Roxas should still be able to see him.
He turned to start heading down to look for Axel when he ran head first into something. Looking up, Roxas found Axel.

“Hey, Axel! That was a nice, um, jump.” He said looking up at his friend’s bruised and swollen face.

“Weren’t you the one who was supposed to check the rope?” Axel growled.
Roxas took a second to think back. Demyx was in charge of finding the rope, Axel was going to be the stunt man, and Roxas was supposed to…oops.

Roxas smiled up at his friend and let out a small gulp, “Your hair looks cool blown back like that.”

    Axel was not amused.
