- Running up to my room I looked over the sheet. Nothing seemed to workout. It all didn't fit together. Sighing I laid on my bed looking up at the ceiling. "Why is it me? Why do they pick on me," I moaned. Looking out the window she peered out over the horizon. She laid the paper on the desk and grabbed her cell phone. She ran downstairs to the kitchen. "I'm going for a walk okay." My mom just shoos me away. That's the great thing about her. She's really focused and doesn't like to be bothered. Opening the door and stepping out into the sunlit town I walked down the road. I waved to the people in stores for I knew them all. I followed the sunset. Heading west it lead to a forest. It was said to be a deserted tree farm that grew out of control. No one dare go in it for fear of getting lost. But I wasn't no one. Slowly I made my way through the trees and brush. Falling a few times I got some scrapes. "I can't see how you can get lost in here," I said confused. Walking back throught the trees she found the markings she had left on the trees were now gone. "That's weird." Wandering off in the opposite direction she looked for an exit. Blinking her eyes as it got darker she sat down at the foot of a tree. "I wonder why this place is so dangerous?" Peering around I saw nothing. "I wish I knew what was so different about this place," I sighed. Standing up I looked down my stomatch. "Still not hungry?" I shrugged. "Oh well." Running through the forest searching again for and escape I found nothing. I huffed. "I need water," I breathed. Falling silently to the ground I heard a sound. "Water?" I stood up and ran to the sound. It was a small spring that had running water. Smiling I ran over and took a drink. "Hey don't drink our water," a voice yelled. I screamed and fell in. Swimming up to surface I coughed up water. "Sorry I didn't know it was yours," I said to the voice. "Where are you?" Turning around in circles I saw a girl. "Oh hello. Did you get lost too," I asked the girl confused. She laughed lightly. "No but you are." She looked at her. "Yeah I am. How do I get home?" The girl looked at me. "I don't know," she said sadly. "I'v never seen anywhere outside this spring," she explained. "Why not," I asked looking at her. She lift a tail out of the water. I looked at her and then the tail. "Is this for real," asked wide eyed. "Yes now please stop staring," she growled. "Oh I'm sorry," I said blushing some and looking away. "So this is what they meant by strange." She looked back to her. "Is there more people like you." She smiled. "Oh yes and many other races live here too." I sat on the side with my head in my hands. "This is so confusing. This defies logic." The mermaid came up to her. "Aren't you a witch," she asked. I looked up. "What? Oh no. I'm human." She backed away some. "What's wrong," I asked. She got further away. "You need to leave," she shouted. "You're not to be here." She swam off without another word. "Why can't I be here," I wondered. Now I began to hear voices. They were close too. "Maybe someone can show me how to get out of here," I thought. "At least I hope so," I said worried.
