• He sat there, bleeding, he was dying, he knew this, but he cared not. She was beside him, holding his hand, around them was chaos, war. More blood was being shed, and lives were being taken. It mattered not to her though, she wanted to stay by his side, to let him die with someone by his side.

    She whispered a few words in his ear, a smile appearing upon his face. Her voice had always been like that of a torch in the damp darkness of a cave. He let out a laugh, wincing as he did so. He spoke his apologies, but she silenced them with one kiss. A tear streaked down her face, like that of a rain drop down a window pane.

    She released him, the smile remained, before his eye lids began to grow heavy, and she knew he was gone. She held his hand tightly, a few seconds more, before letting go, speaking a good bye, and going back to the chaos.
