• I must be dreaming I thought to myself as I saw Jin coloring. His dark hair fell to his little eyes and his chubby fingers brushed them away. He looked up his smile brightening the room we where in. “Sister!” he called. “Want to help my color?” I walked over and sat near him. “You have to color this orange cause it’s a tiger.” he handed me an orange crayon. He hummed as I watched him color a flower. I smiled.
“Jin?” he looked up at me. “Lets go to the park.” he nodded smiling brightly. “Run up and get your coat, its kind of chilly outside.” a knock on the door set my heart racing.
I opened the door and froze as he stood in the doorway smiling. “Nice to see you again babe.” I tried to close the door but he pushed it open with no effort. “Arent you going to welcome me home with a kiss?” he grabbed me and pressed his lips against mines. I shoved him back, me loosing my balance and falling onto the cold floor.
He closed the door and grinned his crooked smile. His blond sandy hair was slick back and his green eyes where on the buttons of my buttoned down shirt. He pinned me and I began to scream. “Get off of Me!” I squirmed and I remember Jin at the stairs looking at me. “Jin! Go to your room and lock the door. Call 911!”
Jake stopped and looked at Jin. “Your brother? I finally get to meet him.” he got off me and stood. Dusting himself off. “Hi, Jin. I’m Jake, your sisters fiancé. We’re going to be brother in laws pretty soon. You get to be the best man.” Jake watched him
“Jake! Don’t you dare touch him!” I stood up looking around for anything to hit him with. He chuckled.
“Come on Kira. Lighten up. I wont hurt him.” he ruffled Jin’s hair. "Right Jin? We're buddies." Jin took his hand and bit it. Jake yelped in pain and flew him back. Jin lay there whimpering in pain. “Talk about some hospitality.” he turned towards me and I left hooked him right in the jaw. His head snapped to the side with a sickening noise. I grabbed the plate that lay at the table and hit him again. He finally fell to the floor, blood dripping down his nose.
I rushed to Jin who was laying there unmoving. “Jin?” I pulled out my cell and called 911. “Hello. We need help! He hurt my brother!” the lady on the line told me to calm down and repeat what I just said. I screamed as my hair was being yanked up. I dropped the phone facing Jake.
“You shouldn’t have done that babe.” he flung me near Jin and started to laugh. “Really you should think before you act.” he pulled out a pocket knife inspecting it. “Every cut, is for every time you’ve hurt me. Every stab is for every time you’ve been a b***h. Where should we start?” I shook my head tears filling my eyes as he came closer. “I know how bout I start with the stabbing.”
I could hear sirens in the far distance my head spinning. I closed my eyes and braced myself for the jagged edge slicing into my flesh. Jin cried out. His face inches away from mine. He clung to me. He once shining eyes filled with tears.
I woke up crying out Jin’s name. I looked around expecting to be covered in blood, but I found myself in a bed. I felt around hearing the click of a light switch. Jumping as he watched me silently.
