• Trinity reeled back in shock and started to stutter like a maniac "YOU- TEETH- BIRTH MARK- AAAAH!!"

Andy threw her hand over Trinity's mouth. "Shhh! Look, even though we can tell eachother this stuff doesn't mean we don't have to keep it a secret from other people! Humans in particular!

Trinity nodded and moved Andy's hand from her mouth, "Sorry. I'm not used to this vampire thing at all" she said panting.

Andy hugged her "Is that why you were about to cut yourself?" she asked.

"Well..." she said wiping away tears on a blue sleeve, "It's a long story"

    "And I've got time,"

Trinity nodded "Well I-I woke up this morning and i was really, really hungry... but it wasn't for food. It was for- for..."

"Blood? Yeah, that's always what happens to new vampires."

"Uh-huh. But I didn't know where to get any...a-and then I saw my cat..."

    "Oh."

"Yeah. My dad caught me in the middle of drinking it's blood. He started yelling and cursing at me and then he hit me" she lifted the hair covering the back of her neck to reveal a huge purple bruise.

Andy gasped, her hands flew up to her mouth. "He could have parylized you!"

"I know" she said "I got really mad at him for that and then- and then... I'm not sure what happened. I felt something like electricity inside of me trying to get out. My mom and my sister were standing there watching and...I-I shocked my sister" she started to sob hysterically "I DIDN'T MEAN TO!! I SWEAR!! I DON'T KNOW WHAT HAPPENED!!!"

Andy put her arms around Trinity and held her there for a moment. Her story reminded her of one she had heard before- Doyle's story. A light-bulb went off in her head. "Wait here!" she said as she got up and started to run.

"Where are you going?!" asked Trinity, but Andy had already turned the corner.

    ***

The land-lord was showing Doyle and Yulie the various appartments but he couldn't focus at all. It had been a good half-hour since Andy walked off and he was starting to worry. They were on the fourth floor of the building. Doyle looked out the window and at the sidewalk- not a trace of her, just some blond girl sitting there. Suddenly the elevator they were across from dinged. Andy ran out of it. "Andy! Finally! What happened to-"

"Shut up and follow me!" She grabbed Doyle and Yulie both by the wrists and pulled them into the elevator headed towards the ground floor.

"What is going on?!" asked Yulie. They reached the bottom.

"You guys wait here!" she panted.

"Are you even going to tell us what we're waiting for?!" yelled Doyle.

She dissappeared around the corner and returned with the same blond girl Doyle had seen from the window. She was in tears. "Okay, Trinity, these are my friends! That's Doyle and my cousin Yulie. Guys, this is Trinity" they both waved akwardly. Was she insane?! She looked like a deranged kidnapper! She let her go but Trinity was too shocked to move. Instead she began to pull Doyle aside.

"What the hell was that?!" he whispered, wide-eyed.

"Look," she began, "Trinity just got kicked out of her house. Her father beat her and she has no idea how to control her powers"

That story was hitting very close to home for Doyle. "So...so what do you want me to do?"

Andy looked back at trinity shyly standing next to Yulie, still in a state of shock. What did she want him to do? "W-well...she's gonna need a mentor of some kind! And I can't do it, I don't have the same powers you do. She does!"

Doyle's eyes got even wider. "That's impossible. There are only, like, five vampires in the world with the same powers I have."

Andy didn't take her eyes off him, even though he was staring at Trinity in disbelief. "...Meet number six". He still stared at her. "She's got no place to go, y'know. Maybe since you're moving you could take her in?"

"I'm not moving" said Doyle, dryly.

    "...What?"

"If I'm gonna teach her I need to teach her everything. I don't know everything. I need your guys' help." he responded.

Andy was glowing with joy. He's staying! He's not leaving us! He's not leaving the unity! YES!!!

Doyle walked over to Trinity and tapped her on the shoulder. She spun around with a "deer-in-the-headlights" expression. "Hey, kid, you need a place to stay?" she nodded "Good. You're coming with us"
