A daughter of a mixed breed and a pure breed. I’m not supposed to exist by law of the two worlds. I’ve been kept in hiding for several years now. My mother doesn’t want me to live as she did, in fear and loneliness. My father wants to protect both of us, since neither of us should be alive. My father’s a pure blood angel. My mother, on the other hand, is an angel and demon mixed breed. Thus, I am more angel than demon, yet I’m still not allowed to be in either kingdom. My parents both lived in the Angelic Kingdom for years until my birth. I’m three quarters angel and only one quarter demon, yet the angels fear the worse of my small amount of demon blood.
Please forgive me, I’ve forgotten to introduce myself. My name is Raven, daughter of Ayeka and Kiteno. I’m sure you’ve heard of my mother’s story already. I’m a lot like her, but I’m also like my father. I share my mother’s eyes, a deep sapphire and blood red ruby. I also share most of her looks, though I am much taller, and my wings are silver with a black tip on the feathers. Despite having wings, I had no idea how to fly, which hindered any travel I could ever do. I tend to wear my deep auburn, wavy hair down, only occasionally adding a clip to keep my hair out of my face. I was slender, yet fit. Both of my parents raised me to be gentle, an attempt to prevent my dark demon from emerging.
We lived in New York City, where my mother’s story began. We have a different apartment, though the man who gave us the apartment never changed. I remember staying up late when I was little, just to see the beautiful city lights. I remember the view so well. We were still living there when I turned eighteen and became an adult. I wasn’t expecting any lavish gifts, which was good because I didn’t get any. I didn’t care, I was used to it. They gave me one gift, a beautiful necklace with a silver star and crescent moon on it. I was amazed. It was breathtaking. They told me the story behind it. It was my grandmother’s. Mom had had it since she could remember. My grandmother had lost her life to her husband.
After they told me all of this, I was sent to bed rather quickly, since it was later than I usually stayed up. I remember having pleasant dreams that night, though I didn’t sleep long.
I was awoken by a loud crash. Bolting out of bed, I looked around in fear, my eyes soon meeting two deep crimson ones. I stared straight at the demon. He was older, much older, and he apparently crashed straight through my window without a scratch on his body. Smirking, he quickly slammed my door shut, blocking it with anything imaginable. I tried to stop him, but he simply threw me across the room. Once he was done, he walked over to me, placing a hand on my cheek and guiding my eyes to his. He was quite handsome. I wouldn’t deny it. He was tan, and had pitch black demon wings. His hair was long, just as jet black as his wings. He was extremely muscular, probably from working out everyday.
“Well, aren’t you a pretty little thing?” he spoke, shaking me out of my thoughts. “And to think, you just turned eighteen. Pretty hard to believe if you ask me. Where are my manners? My name is Akito, Raven. It’s a pleasure to finally meet the great Ayeka’s daughter.” He bowed, smirking and never taking his eyes off of me. I had heard of him before, yet I didn’t remember where. Was he the one who had kidnapped my mother so many years ago? He didn't seem at all like they described, so I was sure it wasn't the same man.
A sudden banging on the door took our attention away from each other. My father started shouting to me, my mother obviously right next to him.
“Raven?! Raven, what’s going on in there? Are you alright? Who’s in there with you?” his voice was strong, even though he was using his strength to try to break down the door. Before I could speak, Akito covered my mouth, grabbing me from behind.
“Save your strength, Kiteno! That door’s blocked,” Akito cackled, his grip on my waist tightening.
“Akito! Leave her alone! She has no part in any of this!” The next thing I knew, my mouth and nose were covered with a cloth, and I blacked out, hearing my parents shout at Akito while he cackled in delight.

- Description: This is chapter 1 of a story I wrote as a sequel to another. However, the first isn't split into chapters yet, so I decided it would be easier to use the sequel. Enjoy!
