• The sky turned a dark and frightening gray, the birds started to sleep.
All the animals started to sleep.
The dogs were howling and the cats were meowing.
The owners sitting on the porch took a look out to the horizon.
The Husband smiled. "She's coming home tonight," he said to his wife.
His wife stood up and walked to the middle of the yard and waited. She stood there waiting, and waiting. He stood and walked over to her and rested his arm across her shoulders. She whispered as the wind started to blow, "What's taking her so long?"
"These things take time for her, you know this, so be patient, my love," he replied sweetly as he kissed her cheek. They stood there looking, waiting. The sky grew even darker. They started walking toward the horizon as the wind started blowing the leaves and dust into a slight dust storm. Forming into a small tornado as it circled around them, whispering. It slowly slowed down to a stop in front of them. They smiled brightly and hugged her.
"Welcome home, we have missed you so much." She exclaimed as she hugged her daughter tightly.
The young woman released her parents and looked at them smiling and said, "I have some news for you both. "
She stepped back, spread her arms wide open as she closed her eyes and waited. A few minutes later a young man carrying a little baby stepped from behind her.
She said, "Mom, dad this is my husband and my baby daughter."
They hugged them tightly and smiled.
"They are beautiful," she said as she hugged her daughter once more.
