• "Don't cry my darling Cry no more." a cool voice tells me. "I'm always here. Cry no more." It felt like something was being taken from me. However i couldn't fight or recall what it was. Then I saw the pale women with brown hair and hazel eyes walking away.
"Mama.. . .? Mama!" I cry as I toddle towards her. I feel myself age, into a 6 year old, then into a 10 year old, then into my current 16 year old self. "Mama!" I screamed.

I wake with a start and fall out of bed, landing on my hands and knees on top of a mound of pillows. Then my Alarm went off and I jumped up. "Shh-" I groan as I notice that my clock is 15 minutes off from my original alarm.
I tear through my room pulling on crumpled clothes and stumble over the big husky laying in the middle of my room. “Sorry Kira.” I say and gave her a quick pet before hurtling out the door. Going down the hallway to the stairwell I pass by a mirror getting a quick look at myself.
Raven black hair with shimmering hazel eyes, pale complexion and a black turtle with a silver Celtic Design charm on a silver chain.
“Jessie! Hurry up!” my brother calls upstairs.
“yeah yeah.” I call back and go downstairs.
My older step-brother Jericho -who is my demon of a brother- is waiting at the front door entry for me. My dad and stepmother already left for work hours ago.
“Sounded like you were fighting with a monster.” Jericho teased.
“Shut up Morgan.” I called- by his middle name- as I went into the dinning room and grabbed my backpack. I then went out the back door- to avoid the wrath of General Morgan. I went next door and pounded on the door when it open I bolted through.
“Help! Jericho is going to liquidate me!” I wail and hear a fit of laughter burst from behind the door. A petite blond girl steps from behind wearing a blue cotton skirt and gray sweater.
“Tammy I told Jericho's secret!” I say grabbing her arm.
“I'm a little tea pot short and stout.” Tammy murmurs.
“Exactly.” I crack up and hear a car horn blare. “Come on rides here.” I say and pull Tammy outside.
Jericho, Tammy and I carpool with our other neighbor Ethan and his younger brother Justin. The truck was idling in front of Tammy's house. We got into the backseat of the F150 truck, next to Justin who was listening to his MP3 player.
“I thought you were eating Tammy.” Jericho teased and I reached forward to hit him in the back of the head.
“Morning Jessie.” Ethan greeted from the drivers seat. My numbed cheeks then blazed as my blood rushed.
“Morning.” I stuttered and hid behind my curtain of hair till my cheeks stopped blazing. I then began to dig through my backpack for my Zune MP3 player when I stumbled across an envelope with my name in cursive handwriting. “Tammy is this your handwriting?” I asked flashing her the handwriting.
“No, I put hearts on my 'i's.” Tammy said as I stared at the envelope. I then turned it around and started to open it when Jericho snatched it out of my hands.
“ooh! Its a love note!” Jericho announced and opened the letter.
“Jerk give it back!” I shrieked and tried to get it back.
“Who wrote this?” Jericho demanded, teasing completely gone from his tone. He then handed the note to me.
“What?” I asked. In the same handwriting read.

    Jessie

Run while you can. Don't hesitant, run. He'll come for toy, he will do the same thing as he did me. He'll kill you, make you suffer. Run while you can.
Don't try to hide he will always find you. Be smart and get away.
Run while you can. Run while you can. Run while you can.

There wasn't even a name, just startling words. 'Run while you can.' kept repeating in my head. A tremor ran threw me and I felt sick.
“Jeri, she doesn't look to good.” Tammy said fanning me with her hand.
“Jessie put your head between your knees.” Jericho demanded. I did what he said slowly, trying not to move too fast.
“I'll take you to the nurse.” Tammy said. I was shivering, every ounce of warmth I felt was being drained from. Ethan pulled into the student parking lot and parked.
“Jessie come on.” Tammy said sliding out of the car and offered me her hand. I felt frozen, like I was there but not. “Jessie.” Tammy called, tugging on my hand. I couldn't move my body at all. Ethan crawled in and slide me into his arms.
“Jericho, take her.” Ethan said and passed me off to my brother. Jericho carried me to the nurse's office with our small band of friends. The nurse was frantic when she saw me.
“Oh my god! Is she okay?” the nurse asked her hands fluttering.
“She got this letter.” Ethan said handing her the letter.
“Good Lord! Who wrote this?” Nurse Kidman asked.
“We dunno. She just found it in her backpack.” Jericho said then cursed, the bell was ringing.
“Well you three get to class. I'll send her to class when she feels better.” nurse Kidman said shoeing them away. She then came back and shined a bright penlight into my eyes. “Jessie? If you can hear me, blink once.”
I was having an out-of-body experience, I seemed to be having a lot of them lately. However after my eyes closed and I couldn't open them.
