• The shadows bleed ribbons of pure darkness....that consume us all.

Shadows....pure shadows. The cold, relentless and painful. All senses lost except those which registered these things. The rough, slate like ground beneath felt as if it were shifting, waves of dark shadows dancing on the walls unseen within the already pitch black room. No sound seemed to reach the inner sanctum, his home. There were sounds, but too faint for any natural form of hearing, and with no will to wish to know...there was no sound that he was willing to reach out to. A gleam, one...no two gleams now of yellow glowing light flashed from a deep corner, twisting and mixing with a deeper almost golden shade. A loud screeching, metal against metal, then a burst of agonizingly bright light...but soft and gentle warmth that seemed to caress his figure. The warm air slithered its way around him, as a voice seemed to penetrate his peace, shattering the small bit of freedom he may have felt.

"Omega 9, step forward." The voice seemed soft...but he knew there was an almost deadly meaning behind it that said he should listen or pay a heavy price. Of course he wouldn't have refused either way, and though the scientist knew that by now, he still seemed keen on sounding as if he would attack at any moment. Wake stood slowly, his figure still half way shaded by the darkness of the room, gold swirled eyes flashing yellow again from the effect of the light. Chains, sounding heavy and thick, could be heard as they scraped across the stone floor. When he felt he wasn’t getting anywhere, he pulled his arms up hard, and the result was the sound of heavy metal objects hitting the ground with a violently loud crash. The scientist flinched back but smiled encouragingly, with that hidden malice there once again no doubt. “Come Omega 9, before he becomes too impatient.” He turned and waved his hand out towards the outer hall just outside of his room.

Wake pushed himself forward, his back slightly hunched and his head down as if he had been scolded. The sound of screeching metal echoed violently in the empty room, even more so as he left, the steel door frame catching his chains and heavy prison like spheres attached. Though he had seemed to have trouble with them earlier, he appeared to be handling them as if they were two feathers placed at the end of his heavy shackles. As if the scientist was still afraid, he brought out a collar baring sharp metal spikes that would dig into his skin if he tried anything, and buckled it tightly around his neck. Now stepping directly under the light, it was easy to see that his figure was still covered in shadows. Dark almost black hair fell to his shoulders, covering most of his face but still allowing his gold eyes to peer from beneath. Strange, gently swaying ribbons of darkness seemed to flow around him and off of his skin. Dark leather pants, torn at the waste slightly and at the ankles were the only thing he bore on his body other than his chains. Upon closer look though, one could see strange runes running down his arms near the shoulder, and strange markings that almost looked like tattoos just visible upon his flesh. The scars he bore all over his body, had been just as painful as they seemed now.

“Omega 9, speak, tell me your status.” The strange scientist spoke to him as if he were an android and that confused him, though he was used to it by now. Wake was by no means even close to that of an android, unless of course you count the few strange things that he could do. A shadow…and an Obliterated Angel is what he was.

“Status….is….pained…severely. The light seems not to have lessoned its affect on me at all.” A few more moments of searching his mind for the other status updates he usually had to let the others in on, he froze. “Shadow Walk has become much easier for me to use, however, Shadow Dance has become much more difficult, for I have nothing to work with…other than myself.” Wake thought again, and checked his shadows, he blinked slowly. “Ticking Clock is almost at thirteen, two more days until loss of control.” Once he finished speaking he glanced up, only straightening slightly as he glanced towards his lead. The scientist was nodding to himself as he approached a door with him close behind.

“Then Professor Itami is in need hearing this.” He reached his knuckles to the door, but before he even had the chance it opened. A pallid man was standing there, his eyes such a painfully beautiful deep shade of peridot, his hair dark red, almost black. “Pr. Itami…I have brought Omega 9 from his room, he tells me that there are about two days till his ticking clock goes off.” Itami seemed to just peer at him, as if he were the most stupid man alive.

“You forget, sir, that I am well aware of how he is, at all times. It was simply time for more experiments; I would love to see how he fairs against the stone this time.” His piercing gaze flicked over Wake lazily, but otherwise he seemed more amused than anything. “Make sure you bring the right diamonds this time, else it won’t work. No you idiot not Crystals, Diamonds.” With a sudden flick of his wrist, the scientists head turned from the force. Itami had grown impatient, striking out at the man. Wake just stared.

“Now Wake…come in…and don’t be frightened, I won’t bite…well not much anyway.” He chuckled as he turned and walked towards the inner part of his room. Wake froze up, but only for a moment before proceeding after him, well aware of what was coming next.
