Myrian opened her eyes. "Another city is gone." She said. Her pale, blind eyes seemed to stare straight through each of them.
"Dammit!" Kana slammed her fist down on the table. "Why are we still sitting here?!"
"Calm yourself, Kana." Fea said calmly.
"How can I?!!" Kana whirled around to face Fea. "It is our job to protect the human realm from the foul inhabitants of Fetyre!!"
"Stop it!" Fea shouted. "Control your anger!"
Kana fell silent "We can't just sit here..." She mumbled.
"What can we do?" Fea said. "We are strong, but it would be the three of us against an army."
Kana gritted her teeth. "What is the point of this world then. Most of the people who live here in Merchion don't give a damn for the humans. But what they don't understand is that if they die, we die, too!" She yelled.
"Not all choose the same path." Fea replied. "You did not choose the same path as the rest of our clan, did you?
Kana glared at Fea.
"Arguing will get us nowhere." Myrian said.
"Fine,"Kana patted her sides to check if her daggers were still in their holsters.
"Come, Ito." A large wolf trotted up beside Fea at command.
"Where shall we go this time?" Myrian questioned.
"I'm up for Marconia's ale." Kana said.
Fea sighed, "Ale is not good for you, Kana."
"It's a relaxing drink!" Kana exited the small inn with the others following. The hot, gleaming sun shocked them as they stepped outside. "Marconia is west, right?"
Myrian nodded.
"West it is, then." Kana started off in her indicated direction.
