I walked out of school. Just yesterday a group of vampire hunter had inspected the school to make sure there were no vampires hiding in the school as a student. I was scared. Scared to be found out. Luckily, I was really sick yesterday, and as vampire hunters pay unexpected visits, I only found out from my friends today. People have the wrong idea about vampires. True, they were bloodthirsty and didn't care about any species but themselves, but vampires have evolved from then. At least, I have. Some blooming idiot went and almost exposed me just because they were bored, and decided to have a little fun with the deer that a deer hunter was stalking. True, vampires moved fast. But they have magic and their eyes and hair change colour according to their mood, which is why vampires dye their hair and wear contacts to blend in. The sort of magic that lets you becomes invisible, become animals, know what people are thinking and one unique power. Each vampire had one unique power. No vampire's powers were ever the same. I thought about my power. The ability to stop, fast forward and reverse time. Lucky that vampires are born only every 25 years in families. For instance, if you were a female vampire, and you had a baby, you would have to wait 25 years before you could have another baby. I walked into the forest and onto the forest trail. I listened to the river swoosh by, and I broke into a run, towards the river mouth. I came to the clearing of trees between the sea and the forest. I stopped running and slowed to a walk, towards the single tree right by the ocean. This was where I liked coming. It was forest but also ocean. Half-forest, half-sea. There wasn’t even a stretch of sand anywhere. The Hidden Soa, I thought of this place like that, the S and the A from SeA, and the O from fOrest. I sat down by the tree, closed my eyes, and treated the sea breeze with relish. Suddenly there was a splash. I snapped my eyes open. There was a small white seal, but that was all. I inspected the seal closer. The seal whined, as if it wanted me to go away. I retreated to the cover of the trees. The seal stared dolefully at me. I walked back to my house, feeling let down. My own special place was being overrun by seals. I decided I would fight for it. I approached quietly, trying to hold on to the element of surprise, for when I needed it, as a weapon, or to defend myself. Just before I reached the clearing, I climbed half way up a tree, where it was the thickest, so nobody could see me, but I could see them. I jumped to the next tree, with my eyes closed, hoping I would make it. I snapped a twig and opened my eyes as I landed safely, grabbing a grip before I fell. I started cursing myself as I realized that I could have turned into a bird to go across, and there would be no snapped twig. The seal was still there, by the tree. I heard footsteps approaching the clearing. I told myself to forget my stupidness, and I settled down to watch.

I popped my head out of the water. Someone was already there, but it wasn’t the I was waiting for. I splashed my tail in the water to get the person’s attention. I whined, waiting for for her to go away. She got up, and went to the edge of the forest. I stared at her. Was that all the distance she would go? My stare did the trick. She walked until I could not see her and more. Back to her town, I think. Then the person I WAS waiting for showed up. A fox ran out of the forest.
“Don’t become human!”I said quietly, knowing she could hear me, not knowing someone else could hear me too.
“Why?” asked Rainbow. “Because someone was here when I arrived and and other people might come.”
    “Oh.”
    “Yes,oh”
“So. Where we gonna find another vampire?” questioned Rainbow. “I don’t know!” I said. “Please stop asking me questions I don’t know the answer to!”
    “Hmm.”
    “What?” I scowled.
“Hmm?Oh, I was just thinking, shouldn’t we check that the area is free of intruders?”
“Oh?Oh, yes yes! We should! It’s just I completely forgot!” I dived into the water and swam to where the the forest met the sea as if someone had cut any space between the forest and the sea off. I dived faster toward the bottom and just before impact, I shot up through the water so fast I went more than a metre into the air. Before I started falling, my body started tingleling, and began to change shape, from a seal to a bird. I flew in between trees, checking for intruders. Rainbow was checking behind trees and in rabbit holes. For a moment, I saw green eyes staring back at me, a shade lighter than the leaves. I dived through the leaves. There was no one there except for a few bugs and a green-eyed squirrel. I searched for anything else, the eyes had seemed a lot bigger before I dived. Maybe I just magnified my vision without knowing. I shrugged, and flew off to the lonely tree. Rainbow was already there.
“Why don’t you stay a bird for now, Selinia?” she suggested. I looked at her. She sighed”Fine.”I begged her to let me dive into the water from a high point, with my eyes. She shook her head. I kenw what that meant. It meant ‘No, not today. We want to keep a low profile.’I flew to above the water, and stopped flapping my wings. The tinglelig sesation took over as I hit the water, and dissappered. I came up a seal. The splash of water had made Rainbow a little irritated.
    “Shh!” she hissed.
“Oops!Sorry!” I whispered back. She shook her head disapprovingly. I thought of why we were here, looking for another vampire. It was because of the prophecy that had appeared in the hand of the Decider.

    Four vampires, all in all.
One will take a deathly fall.
One favors seal, one favors none,
One favors fox, and is kind to some.
    The other favors the Earth,
    For She gave her birth.
    But even with Her care,
she will suffer, in the air.
None of this prophecy should be done,
in the burning light of the sun.
They will have to go, where white’s so cold.
When the water’s rise so high, so bold.

I was the one who favored seal, I know, because my favourite animal was a seal. Rainbow was the one who favored fox, for the same reason. And we had figured out that the one who favored earth was the tree. It was extremily rare to be able to turn into something that was a food producer. But then we still have to find the one who favored none. There was a thud behind me. Rainbow gasped. I turned around. A snow wolf stood there.
“I heard what you two were talking about. Selinia, you shouldn’t think aloud.” said the snow wolf.
    “I didn’t think aloud! You-you-you read my mind!I cried.
“And I think I should point out, wolves can’t climb trees, so how did you jump from one?asked Rainbow.
“You were that squirrel I saw!”I realized.
    “Yes, I was.”
“Why didn’t you stay as a squirrel then?” This came from Rainbow .
“My dears, favoring leads to weakness.”
“So you might be the one who favors none!”excietment filled my voice.
“I am!Oh and you know that the fourth person is a tree, right? But do you know how to find out which?”This was replied to with shakes of our heads. “Oh, well, you see. You’ve got to see the blood of the tree, and if it’s like our blood then it is.” I watched snow wolf retreat and then dash towards the trunk. She bit hard into it and came away. “Oh, and by the way, I’m also that person you saw earlier.” The tree fizzled a bit, with magic.
“Who woke me from my slumber?”the tree rumbled.

"Who woke me?” repeated the tree.
    “I did.”I said.
"And why did you wake me?"asked the tree, turning into a hedgehog.
"Because of the prophecy."I felt the the wind against my forehead and knew she was reading my mind.
"Oh. I suspect I am the earth one then. You are strange, you know that? You're not an enemy, but you're not a friend. You have enemies, but no friends. Strange. What is your name? Mine is Willow."said the hedgehog.
"how do I know you are not going to hand it over to Wahsod, The Shadow's Confusion, or Olah, The Halo's (spanish) Hello?FYI, the truth is, I don't know which, because I not with either side."I countered.
"We want your name." said Rainbow sternly.
"Pretty pretty please tell me your name!" the seal begged.
"Fine. It's Ambrosine Brenda. It means Immortal Flame."There was a silence.
“Umm, well, my name is Selinia.” said Selinia to Willow.
