• Eva saw the little girl with the flame red hair walking toward her. The little girl got close to her and pointed behind Eva as tears ran down the little girls face. Eva stepped forward to comfort the little girl. The little girl stepped away and pointed more forcefully behind Eva. Eva turned to see what was behind her...

Eva woke up with her heart racing. "Damn it! Who is that girl and why is she so familiar? And what is always behind me?" She asked her pet tarantula Fuzzy Legs. She had been having this dream ever sense Jakob had asked he out last year and she was still no closer to figuring it out.

She lay back down and started to think about her life she had three of the best friends you could ask for. She had a boyfriend and even though he was graduating this year she knew that they could make it. She had good grades and all the teachers and students liked her. So why was she having this horrible dream.

Then she turned her head and saw that it was almost 7 o'clock. "OH CRAP!!!" she yelled, "I am so late!" She jumped out of bed and ran over to her close and pulled out a bulky pink and green sweater with matching gloves and hat. She ran over to her dresser and pulled out a purple and yellow tiger print under shirt that said 'Death 2 All Humans' on the front and 'The Animals Shall Rule The Earth' on the back. She pulled these on then ran over to her laundry basket and pulled out and on her favorite blue jeans. They where tattered and torn. They where stained by every thing from food to paint. And all her friends had written messages on them. She pulled these on and then slipped into her tennis shoes.

She grabbed her back pack and ipod and ran to the bathroom and she looked at herself. She had fine and straight black hair. This made her pale white skin glow bone white. She had fierce gunmetal gray eyes. That where always happy.

Her hair wouldn't work so she grab a hair tie and put her hair in a lose pony tale and then added a barrette to hold back her long bangs. She ran from the bathroom and she ran to the kitchen and grabbed a doughnuts and a bottle of chocolate milk. then she was out the door. She put her head phones in and hit play on her ipod and Nightwish filled her ears. As she ran to cache the school bus. she just made it as she finished her doughnut and milk. She stuffed the bottle in her back pack and got on the bus. And looked around for a seat.

"Over here," her best friend Marie called and motioned to her. "Come on I won't hold your seat forever," Marie wined at Eva.

"Oh I bet you would," She said as she sat down next to Marie. Marie had short hair that was died a different color every week. this week it was purple and green. Eva's phone buzzed in her pocket. Eva pulled it out and took a look. It was a text.

Marie look at the phone, "well who it's from?" She asked, "And what dose it says?" Marie was looking at Eva intently.

Eva looked back and quickly opened her phone. Marie had that look on her face that if Eva didn't check it out Marie would. It was from Daniel. It said (we need 2 tlk. C u @ school.) Eva started at her phone what could be so important that Daniel couldn't talk about it through testing? Eva started to get nevus could he want to take there relation ship to the next level?

Marie got impaction and pulled the phone from Eva's unresisting hand. and looked at the message. "What could he want?" she asked with a little bit of anger in her voice. She didn't like Daniel much. "Eva I still say you should drop his a** before he hurts you."

Eva looked at her with sad eyes, "You just don't know him like I do he is nice and caring and he is intelligent. He also couldn't hurt a fly"

Marie snorted, "Tell that to the guy he checked last night." Daniel was on the ice hockey team. Marie didn't like anyone who hurt people for fun.

Eva didn't say anything and they spent the rest of the bus ride not talking to each other. Eva with her ipod on full blast and Marie with her journal in her lap.

They got to school and got of the bus. And Eva ran to where she saw Daniel. He had shaggy brown hair and deep brown eyes. As she got close she saw that he wasn't happy. "So what is up? And what is with the bad attitude?" She said with a laughing tone to her voice.

Daniel stared at her and said in an emotionless voice, "It’s just not working out between us.” He sound like he had practiced this many times. “I just don’t see how you and I can work. The age difference for one thing and the fact that I am going away to college next fall. So I just wanted to end it now before it got to complicated.” With that he walked away and headed to where his friends where ruff housing.

Eva stood there with her heart breaking into a million pieces. She stood there trying to keep the tears away. Then someone poked her in the head. She looked up and saw Adem. She quickly put a smile on her face.

“Didn't you here me calling? I have been calling for like five minutes,” Adem looked at her with his head cocked to the side. He had walnut brown eyes. His hair was cut close to his head. His coffee colored skin had never had a single pimple and most likely never would.

“Sorry,” Eva smiled. “I was zoned out. So what did you want,” she started towards the school.

“Nothing much. I just saw you and thought I would say hi,” he said as he joined her. “So what happened between you and Daniel?” Adem looked at Eva with a quite understanding and caring.

Eva looked away. She couldn't take anyone’s pity right now. “We broke up. I don’t really know why.” Her voice started to break. She took a deep breath and forced another happy smile on her face, “but I’m ok with it. There are plenty of fish in the sea right?” The bell ranged sounding the start of the school day. “Bye Adem See you at lunch.” She waved as she ran to her first class.

“Why won’t you look beside you to find what your heart wants?” Adem whispered as he watched Eva run down the hall. He turned and headed toward his first class.

As the hall emptied of people one little shadow remained that of a little girl. Then it fallowed the path that Eva had taken.
