Serenity and Trinity Rain were twin sisters. They looked exactly the same. Straight, jet black hair that came past the shoulders, dark blue eyes the color of the ocean, and perfect, white smiles. Serenity and Trinity shared a powerful bond. They were able to sense if something was wrong with their twin. If one twin spoke, the other would finish the sentence. Wherever one twin went, the other would follow. They were inseparable.

One day after school the girls were waiting for their mother to come pick them up. "Shoot! I forgot my Algebra book in my locker." Trinity said. "Well, mom isn’t going to be here for another fifteen minutes." Serenity said, looking at her watch. "Here, take my bag while I run and get it." Trinity said, handing her bag to her twin. As Trinity started to jog toward the school, she heard car brakes slamming. She turned around to see Serenity being pulled into a beat-up, rusty van. "Serenity!" Trinity screamed. The van sped off and Trinity started to chase after it. She caught a glimpse of the license plate. It read: SANE-183. After a few seconds of running, the van started to get farther and farther away until it became a dot in the distance, and then it was gone. Trinity fell to the ground, crying. A car pulled up beside her and her mother got out of the car and ran over to her. "Trinity! What's wrong? Where's your sister?" her mother asked. "They took her!" Trinity cried. "Who took her?" her mom asked in shock. "I don't know. I was going back to the school to get my Algebra book and then I heard brakes, and then I seen her being pulled into a rusty van. They started to drive away, so I started chasing after them but they were too fast. I saw their license plate though." Trinity said. "Get in the car. We're going to the police station." her mother said.

As her mom pulled up to the police station she asked, "Are you willing to tell the police everything you saw?" Trinity hesitated. "Yes." she replied. "We will get through this together." her mother said, grabbing Trinity by her hand and squeezing it lightly. They got out of the car and went in. The first officer they seen, they went to. Trinity explained everything and told him what she had seen. The officer’s name was John Carson. Officer Carson asked for a picture of Serenity. “She’s my twin.” Trinity told him. “We look exactly the same.” Officer Carson led Trinity to a room with a camera and asked her to step in front of it. He then took a picture of her and handed it to another officer and told him to get it broadcast. Twenty minutes later, the picture was on every news channel in the country. “We checked on that license plate and it belongs to a man named Justin Harrison. We have a search party heading to his house on 1282 Main Street. Ms. Rain, would you have any idea why this man would kidnap your daughter?” Officer Carson asked. “No, I do not.” Ms. Rain said firmly. “Okay. That is all. The search party has arrived at the address. Would you like to ride with me or take your own car?” Officer Carson asked, taking the keys out of his jacket. “We will drive in our own car, thank you.” Ms. Rain said, taking Trinity by her hand and leading her to their car. “Mom.” Trinity said, stopping in front of their car. “Something is wrong with Serenity. I can feel her.” They arrived at the address and when they pulled up, they saw Serenity sitting in an ambulance.
Trinity jumped out of the car and ran towards her twin. “Serenity!” Trinity yelled. Serenity looked up and spotted her twin. “Trinity!” Serenity yelled to her sister. She got out of the ambulance and ran towards Trinity. When they finally got to each other they looked at one another. “Serenity! What happened to your head?” Trinity asked, touching the bruise over her twins’ right eye. “He hit me and I went unconscious.” Serenity said. Ms. Rain ran over to her daughters and hugged them tightly. “Are you okay Serenity?” she asked. “Yes mom. I am fine.” Officer Carson walked up to them. “Serenity, do you know why this man kidnapped you?” he asked. Serenity looked over at the police car in which Justin was being held in. “Justin and I were friends in middle school. He was like my brother. Every time someone would pick on me, he would put a stop to it. One day after school, older kids came up to me and cornered me in an alley. They told me that my sister and I were spoiled brats and needed to be put in place. A girl named Emalia grabbed me by my arm and I started screaming and the next thing I knew she was on the ground, cradling her hand. I looked over and seen Justin beating up Emalia’s brother Zeke. The other kids ran because they heard sirens. I went and hid behind a bush. I saw an officer put Justin in their car and I didn’t see him till freshman year at the high school. I was hanging with a few of my girlfriend’s and he came up behind me and hugged me. Justin had changed so much I didn’t recognize him. So I told him to get lost and never touch or talk to me again. I saw so much hurt in his eyes but I didn’t care then. I remember getting blocked calls and someone saying that they were going to pay for what I did. I thought they were prank calls so I didn’t think it was serious.” Serenity said. “Thank you Serenity. That’s all I needed to know.” Officer Carson said, starting to walk away. “Officer, do you think I could speak to Justin alone for a few seconds?” Serenity said. “Sure.” Officer Carson said. Serenity walked up to the car Justin was being held in. “Justin, I’m sorry for what I did. I hope you forgive me.” Serenity said. Justin stared straight ahead and didn’t say anything. Serenity turned and walked back to her family. Trinity went and hugged Serenity. “Everything will be okay.” Trinity whispered. “Come on girls. It’s time to go home.” Ms. Rain said, pulling the car up beside the girls. Trinity got in first. Before Serenity got in the car she looked back at Justin one last time. He was staring right at her, showing no emotion. “Come on Serenity! It’s cold out there.” Trinity said, pulling Serenity into the car. Serenity took a deep breath and got into the car, hoping somethimg like this would never happen to her or her family ever again.
