• She felt lightheaded. Everything was fuzzy. Why was she lying down...? She suddenly felt sharp pains on her arms, legs especially, and her neck for some reason. Trying to listen in on what was going on around her so she could at least understand a little of what was happening, she heard what sounded like ambulances and police cars. Behind that she could hear faint cries... But... Who was crying? Suddenly her vision came back to her... It was then that she realized she was on the ground, a car on her bottom half, head tilted sideways lying on the cement and she saw the pieces of glass sticking out of her hands and arms. Alarmed she tried to get up, her body too weak to move. When she concentrated hard enough, she got her right arm to move up slowly causing her more pain then she had ever felt. When trying to speak, nothing came out, not even a squeak. Wondering why, her right hand went up to her neck... Something was there... Alarmed by what she was feeling on her jugular, it was a piece of glass... She tried flailing her arm, hoping someone would see her efforts. Without success the arm dropped. Someone was coming over, she tried to move the arm but it wouldn't move! Franticly trying to get attention, she tried and tried with the arm with no success. Her ears were the only things that seemed to work on her lifeless body. One of the ambulance workers was talking to another in a big deep voice, "Well if we take her to the hospital, she probably wouldn't even be able to move for the rest of her life. That crash was big. I'm surprised she's the only one who was injured" I was the only one? she though with relief, thank goodness parents and little brother, Toru was all right. She tuned into the conversation between the ambulance workers again, "With that huge pole in her side, I doubt she would survive the ride even to the hospital..." Huge pole?! Out of the corner of her eye, she saw it. A large pole sticking out of her right side... Disgusted, she had to turn her vision away. Crying, she felt the tears fall down her face. It was painful. The ambulance workers walked away, she then saw them walking over to her parents... A few seconds later, she saw her mom break down into tears. Here she was,16 years old, pronounced dead. And again, everything went fuzzy and black... When light returned to her eyes, she was starring at the top of an ambulance... Oh, they're taking me to a hospital? I thought I was dead, thank goodness... Wait... Why weren't the ambulance sirens going? Shocked, she tried to get up, this time it was easy... But... The two people in the back of the ambulance didn't notice... Turning around, she noticed that she couldn't really breathe and saw that her body was still lying on the gurney. Wha- Whaat? What's happening?! When the ambulance went over a huge bump, she fell onto the hard ambulance ground, terrified, she curled into the corner, hands over her mouth, terrified... She sat there... In silence... The ambulance had stopped minutes later, the members in the back pulled the gurney out of the ambulance... And it felt as if it was pulling her with it! What's happening?!... Why am I being pulled?? Once out of the ambulance curiosity caused her to look up at the tall building, recognizing wasn't the hospital she wondered where the ambulance had stopped... They walked down the quiet... Dimly lit hallways... On either sides of the hallway were small rooms, filled with one occupant and often a few people sitting in the guest chairs. They quickly halted and turned left. Inside the room was a huge light overtop of a silver table. Suddenly, she remembered, she was signed up to be an organ donor... Putting her body onto the table, they began harvesting her organs. Out of pure agony, she fell to her knees. She could fell every bit of what they were doing to her. Pease...Stop... Someone... Help... Me... Please..! She could then hear "Now onto the lungs" "SOMEONE....HELP ME PLEASE!! Her screams seemed hopeless. Tears flowed down her pink cheeks. She suddenly heard someone coming... High heels clicked against the linoleum flooring that lined the hallway. "Oh my lord!" The tall woman rushed over to her, crumpled on the floor, "Oh my, I'm so sorry this happened to you!" Surprised, she looked up at the woman hovering over her face, her beautiful brunette hair up in a bun with some of it lining the side of her face. "You can see me..?" She whispered... "Yes" she said it in such a kind, caring voice... "I'm so sorry for all of this" The woman suddenly patted her shoulder and asked "What's your name?" "My- My name is... Uh.. Lily..." She suddenly felt a surge of something that she had never felt before... It felt amazing... Her dirty white black tee shirt and jeans changed into a black kimono type of outfit, her pants turned into shorts underneath the kimono and long black socks, the long pink hair that flowed down to her mid back also had a strange new addition, pink cat ears and a tail to match, the arm bands she wore became long sleeves. When she looked down, she saw that her old sneakers had become flats and her back had another strange addition, small light gray wings. "What the..." The kind woman laughed and said, "Shouldn't you be on your way miss Lily?" "But..On my way to where..?" Again, with only a smile, the woman said, "All I can tell you is, you have an interesting life ahead of you" Noticing that she was turning to what seemed like cherry blossom petals, she looked up to the woman with her one red eye and one blue eye and responded to the woman one last time, "Thank you" and smiled...
