all Hershey's Kiss brown,
all fair and fine?

Who is this person
with eyes like mine
all dark and understanding,
all fire and passion.

Who is this person
with hair like mine
all midnight and braided,
all twisted and twilight?

Who is this person
with a voice like mine
all quiet and unsure,
all soft and unheard?

Who is this person
with a mind like mine
all smart and confused,
all deep and misunderstood?

Who is this person
with a heart like mine
all hurt and depressed,
all hidden and broken?

I don't know who this person is
because she sure can't be me.
But when I look in the mirror
that's who I see.
