i need him to tie me down, to name me to a sound
warm skin, soft lips, eyes that see within
but all i get is this sense of distance
i wish I could get over it
and no excuse seems to fit
this numb, I'm all I can blame
overcome by more of the same
my fantasy has got me so bad
my love is circling the drain
stunned by my imagination
purveyor of distractions
none of it's real
a reality of imitation
endless passions
i can't feel
i'm waiting for him
painting myself defiant
convinced
love is a science
and the truest is coincidence
but that's a porcelain facade
deifying an oblivious god
and i can't feel the sun burning
but my skin is starting to crack
and i think i'm learning
that this love i lack
is dying slowly
this heart that beats
inside me
is turning black

- Title: A Perfect Death
- Artist: Sion Mekos
- Description: Set to the music of Paulson's "All At Once" and Codeseven's "Dancing Echoes / Dead Sounds". Written at three in the morning. About searching for the perfect lover and, consequently, turning into a ghost even as I'm convincing myself he exists.
