I can taste your lips
I can hear your laugh
I can feel your warmth
I can see your smile
I smell your clothes
I love the way you tell me
You’d have no one else
I love the way you say
Someday you’ll marry me
And I love you.
But I can’t help but think
That it may not come true.
But all I can do
Is try not to blink,
Try not to miss a single thing.
Oh but that’s pushed away
To the back of my head
Where all my thoughts are dead
But here in your arms I sway
Held by your warmth
I hope it never fades
Your scent, your warmth
All the things about you I love.
Some things can change,
But that doesn’t mean they should.
