• Have you heard?
    The Pseudo-Prophet walks the Earth!
    He speaks not God's word,
But his own, for better or worse.

    Scolding our misdeeds,
Then he goes and drinks until dawn.
    Criticizing our greed,
Drinking until every drop is gone.

He's no better than one of us,
But he speaks as if his words are true.
Which they are, I must confess,
He doesn't care, about me or you.

Why, then, do we accept his words?
    Because we're listeners, not preachers.
We are his sheep, in herds,
We are most certainly NOT teachers.

    He thrives on our misery,
Speaking as if it's our own fault.
Which it is, from our history,
But we don't take this with a grain of salt.

    We blindly follow this hypocrite,
    Hoping he'll ease our pain.
    Alas! his words are counterfeit,
All of our dreams, he's slain.

    He promises remedy! A cure!
And yet we trust him, despite his past.
    We've taken the lure,
And he reels us in fast.

    Should we speak out,
Should we utter blasphemy toward him,
    Condemned, we'll be, no doubt.
As they obey his every whim.

    So now my friend,
    You must choose:
Will you bring this to an end?
    Or sanity will you lose?
