-
All alone.
Waiting for you.
Everything around me,
moved in slow-mo.
In the airport.
The clock ticked,
on that one snowy night.
Your flight?
Lost.
I waited and waited.
All the others left.
I dreamed that you came through
the snow and I saw you.
I ran to you,
but you were gone.
I sat there all alone.
I cried when I awoke,
learning your plane crashed.
I stayed in the airport.
Hoping you'd come anyway.
You told me to wait,
when I dreamed of you the next night,
in that airport. I did.
Two days later you were there.
I was crying, and I felt your strong hand,
on my shoulder, and your voice told me not to cry.
I assumed it was another dream.
You drove me home and stayed the night with me.
I learned what had happened and I was joyful.
I woke up the next day with you next to me.
