Humantics
By N.A. Triantaffelow
Oh, dear-oh-dear; oh, my-oh-my.
These days are dark, the end is nigh!
You'll call me blue
And this is true,
But oh, dear-oh-dear; oh, my-oh-my.
So these days are dark, my eyes don't see.
Burning worlds won't set us free!
You'll tell me cold
And of this was told,
That these days are dark, my eyes don't see.
And 'round the corner, he's coming close.
Dressed in stark white bones, this man-morose!
You'll say its fine
This friend of mine,
But 'round the corner, this man-morose.
And oh, dear-oh-dear; oh, my-oh-my.
These days are dark, the end is nigh!
You'll call me blind
A truth in kind,
And perhaps that's why...
I won't see Death coming 'round the corner.

Description:
My latest work, written just a few moments ago. The title is a play on words, from 'semantics' which I used to convey the 'study of human meaning'. Well, *I* Thought it devilishly clever...
Anyway, I hope you enjoy, and please, do leave a comment! I always enjoy them. - Date: 08/23/2009

- I found it to be deliciously cynical. I really love it! It seems to have a sort of rhythm to it that I haven't really noticed with your other poems. Keep up the good work!

- that was lovely. death creeps slowly and no1 is able to see it. so being blind wont change it very much. nice poem though.
