A loan man and a dark cloaked figure stood at each side of the cube like room they were in. The man walked over to the figure curious to what the story was behind of it. “You oh desolate shape on the ground what are you?” the man ask his blue eyes running over the figure.
The figure stirred, its entire figure cloaked in darkness, darkness that if one was to guess what it was made of they would say despair, hate, greed, and many other things. “I am unknown to myself but I would call myself an monster.” It said as its cloaked head looked up at the man. Raising an eyebrow the man tried to look into the monster’s cloak to no avail before asking “As far as I can tell you are no monster but just a man in a cloak. So tell me what categorizes you as a monster?”
Laughing a little the monster lowered its head a hand coming up rubbing what the man could guess it’s forehead as it sighed “Where do I begin? Where do I begin?” It asked itself as it stood up coming to an equal height as the man. “First off a man has a soul something that I have not had in a while.” The monster explained. Cocking an eyebrow at the monster the man spoke out again wanting to know more “What happened to your soul oh hollow one?” he asked. The monster cocked it’s head “The soul is what makes an person unique I lost my soul 7 years ago during the beginning of what you see before you.” It said a hint of sadness to its tone
The man smiled as he asked his next question “Oh hollowed monster what else besides the lack of your soul makes you what you are?” The cloak around the monster flickered a little as the man asked his question and even as the monster responded “All humans have free will even slaves whose freedom has been restricted have the basic rights of free will.” The man stepped closer to the monster seeming to take a great amount of effort to do so. “What was it that stripped you of your freedom bound hollow one?” he asked. “Me, them, themselves, I.” the monster answered a hint of distaste in his voice. “What do you mean by this monster only you can control yourself?” the man asked. “I am a being that wants to please those around me, which means that I must give up my own wants and dreams so I can make them happy.” The monster said the mantle of shadow spreading out from him as the man took two more steps toward it.
“Oh bound hollow one if you are as miserable as you are then end yourself!” The man said throwing the monster a knife that it caught easily. The monster thru the mantle back from his torso revealing n white body with cut scars covering it as it slammed the dagger toward his heart as it stops suddenly at the skin barely cutting it as an drop of blood runs down his stomach looking like an rose in the middle of an snow covered field. “I cannot end myself it is not my choice to make for I do not own my own heart.” The monster said sadly. “Oh monster what does your heart even look like?” The man asked as the monster grimly acknowledged him by cutting an slit over his heart letting the knife fall from his hand before he plunged his hand into his chest. The man watched in awe as the monster drew out an small shriveled multi-colored heart that had puncture wounds and in some places an small plant growing out of it but the center of the heart was an hole big enough for an seed to rest in it. “Why is your heart so shriveled and malformed?” He asked gazing down at the monster twisting its heart in its hand.”I don’t own my heart I have given pieces of it to those I care about each section of an different color represents an part that I have gave someone.” The monster said his cloak spreading out around him forming multiple figures each that of a girl, two more human formed than the rest moved backwards away from the others their features more focused then the others. “My heart only thrives when I am with someone I love it’s only beating right now because the one I love holds my love seed. My heart becomes shriveled as you see right now when I am with someone I do not love.” The monster said caressing the heart slightly a tear falling from within the hood onto the heart. “Why don’t you just be with the one you love then and leave the other?” the man asked taking another step toward the monster them now only a few feet apart. “Because if I was to leave her I’d destroy her just like I almost did before and I can’t stand hurting anyone.” The monster said his sadness audible in his voice.
“Tell me monster what is your name?” the man asked as he moved forward closing the few feet that had separated them before. The monster pulled back the hood revealing the face of an man his dark eyes looked at the man his blue hair sticking up slightly not wanting to separate from the hood as his black crying clown tattoos where tear streaked. “I’m Dante.” The monster said darkly before the man came forward shaking him his blue eyes filled with every emotion there is his brown hair frayed by the sudden movement. “No give me your real name, give me my name, give me our name!!” The man yelled as the monster broke away from him shaking his head. “No, no I am us saying that will destroy me.” The monster cried out. The man cringed as he walked toward the monster “You are but my façade what I used to help get rid of my pain, what I used to fit in, what I used to I wouldn’t have to feel my true feelings and keep everyone happy! Now say out name!” the man yelled out. The monster roared back to him “NATHAN!” as both the man and the monsters skin began to crack. “See breaking me your façade will destroy us both!” the monster yelled out as the cracks speeded over his body becoming more numerous and larger. “I don’t care anymore I’m tired of living this lie I want to know what I am and who I am not this charade of everyone I’ve met but me!” The man yelled out as his and the monsters body glowed the shadows disappearing as in an flash of light there was nothing but an single seed floating in nothingness ready to become what it was meant to be, an human named Nathan.
