....Don't really understand myself

Bloodshot eyes,
Like bloodstained hands.
Invoked to secrecy,
And stumbling upon guilt.
Black figures of crows,
Creating shadows of man.
Winds of the East,
Bringing tears of the West.
A walk through madness,
The story of my life.
Moving forwards,
Only to fall backwards,
With everyday,
My heart beats slower, weaker.
With every breath,
My lungs patiently wait to capsize.
Stricken with sorrow,
Aching with every motion.
Choking on un-kept promises,
While speaking unknown words.
Lightning strikes the velvet sheets,
As the sky begins to cry my name.
Raindrops fall on a hidden valley,
And a city ripples with fear.
Another lifeless body,
Lay to rest in the polluted earth.
Silent forests begin to whisper,
And a child opens its eyes.
