The long forgotten lore of my life
When I feel like it I'll update with my thoughts, views, nonsensical ramblings or events. Just another look into my chaotic enough life. I never know what's going to happen.
Sleep exhaustion during Teen Night
Friday, May 16:

Brrring! Brrring! Brrring!

"Hhm? Whazzu? Izzit... Izzit time already? Gah... five more minutes..."

Yesterday was the big day. Besides Teen Night, of course, it was the day of Inventory. I had to be there bright and early. When I mean "bright and early", I'm talking about me getting up at four in the morning and dragging myself over at five in or to work until a 2:30 ending shift. To me... that's harsh, especially, thanks to nervousness and Sutkei bothering me all night, I had only five hours sleep the night before.

Overall inventory was... "boring", just as my first key manager told me. Heck, I'm glad it's over, though, and everything went fine! Actually... I admit, it was a bit exciting (me experiencing something for the first time. I'm weird like that).

It was funny. I never knew this but, well... my customers know me for randomly singing whatever is blasted over the radio (Warm 98 station) and not caring who sees/hears. They love it. They get a big smile on and, sometimes, I catch them singing along. Well, I knew I did that, but I didn't know my first key did it as well! Imagine this: her and I, working together at five in the morning, and we're singing Tattoo (by Jordin Sparks). It made the day a heck of a lot better, a lot more upbeat in atmosphere.

I got off early. 1:30 to be precise. God, I thank them a lot. Gave me about a nice three hour nap before Teen Night.

Well, before I get to the fantastic events known as Teen Night, I'll add in a little something. I was getting ready for it- you know, running around, getting my bag of goodies together to bring- when I decided to check the mailbox for mail. I was expecting medical bills, not a package! Sure enough, a box had been haphazardly pushed into our mailbox. I pulled it out, took a look at the sender. "Pothoff" was the sender.

"Holy crap!" I exclaim to myself. "No way! Already? Awesome!!!"

Eagerly I run in, ripping into the box with a manic grin on my face. Mom, staring at me, look concerned.

"What is it," She asks. "Another card?" (Meaning Yugioh)

"No," I slyly giggle. "It's a certain thing that said, 'You can't help that, we're all mad here. I'm mad- you're mad'."

She was clueless. Anyone who has ever read the book, Alice in Wonderland, knows that line falls to the chatting with the Cheshire Cat. In that box was the American McGee version of him AND the blood splattered Alice (with a miniature pewter Cheshire cat thrown in; I, knowingly to most of my friends, actually collect pewter) with a butcher knife or the "vorpal blade". The cat, emaciated as ever, is just so gosh darn cute. Details are exquisite on both figures. Safely saying, I brought them to Teen Night and most likely scared half of the people there.

Teen Night itself was fantastic as always. Started off we Lynx playing my DDS (Digital Devil Saga) a bit. Guess I level up a bit too much... I know I'm a high level for where I am right now (level 24 in an area where I should just be reaching level 15 or something). Anyway, after that he popped DDS2 in, and we played a bit with that. I can't wait to play that one because, well, why the heck did Serph and Sera form into a one being deity named Seraph? I'll never know unless I play! Their combined demon, though, looks like one of the Destiny Heros from the Yugioh game. It's...scary.

Also, Lynx LOVED the commission I did for him. I sculpted him Serph's Atma, completely from hand, and made a key chain pendant for him. I'm able to do every Atma in the game (save for Argilla's weird seismic wave for the moment). I feel like tackling Cielo and Gale's Atma next, then Heat. His seems the easiest.

Moving on, Art-San and I managed to show our masks off, and got a few costumers (one prepaying!). So, it looks like we can make a business after all! I'll even hand sculpt charms and 3-D embellishments for any commission masks we get. It's going to be interesting as heck.

Note: I'm also thinking about doing sculptures for commissions too. So far I've done Nobody (Kingdom Hearts) symbols into necklaces, DDS Atma symbols into pendants, and even a Tidus (FFX) Zanarkand necklace in the past. I can sculpt almost anything and make it into a key chain or a necklace. I should really get better with my techniques and, like Anna, a friend, said, sell these at a Con. Also, if I'm able to replicate the style and, after I make Psycho-D, to any Jhonen Vasquez fans I could sculpt the Doughboys (by hand, once again) and sell them. They'd most likely be a bit more expensive than the masks (if I sell them) due to time, paint, and the amount of clay it takes to make one.

Handed Seraph some of my mangas to keep. Hope she likes them!

Dueling. Ahhh.. such a night for dueling. I went against two tough decks, at the same time, BOTH belonging to Michael. Lynx used the dragon deck, and Michael used the Crystal Beast deck (whew, no Venom! I'd loose in a heartbeat because I'd have to use Harpie, and, well, my Harpie deck isn't that great against the Dragons because of threat of the wind boosting). Anyway, we managed to kill Lynx off before Michael summoned two Rainbow Dragons and did away with my poor Gene Warped Warwolves and Berserk Gorillas. It was actually a good duel, and I lasted longer than I thought I would!

I also handed over a Promo Hobby ultra rare holographic Ruby Carbuncle I had managed to get for him. The little guy on the card is so adorable. It'll look great in his Crystal Beast deck.

Brawl was played but, alas, I did not partake. I, well, I'm not good these days. I think my days of being considered a top player with that game series is over. I don't own a Wii, and since the only thing they play is Brawl nowadays, I can't even practice or keep up. Ah well.

It was funny. At one point I asked Art-san to cut a small lock of her hair so I could show her this hair coloring spray she'll use for her cosplay this Halloween. Since she's being Alucard (Hellsing OVA), she'll need black hair. Before Teen Night ended I made sure to spray the lock, telling her to clean it when she got home with soap and water to watch the color just fade right back out. I used the silver for my Xigbar (Kingdom Hearts) cosplay, and I had a tad left...

...Sadly, an idiotic ramble of kids got to it and had their way with the remaining bit. There's only a twinge ounce or two left. Thank god I'm stopping the Xigbar cosplay for a while. I won't need it as much anymore. This Halloween, hopefully, I'll cosplay as Seras Victoria (Hellsing OVA), aka "Police Girl". I had to custom order the costume because, well... I suppose, since I'm so short or whatever, most of the costumes weren't even geared- measurement wise- towards me at all.

Teen Night was wonderful!

heart Peace out, ya'll! heart

Oh GOD yes. twisted Such a dark, evil, twisted idea you have! Too bad we didn't think of it just then. I would have so turned around, with a manic grin plastered on my face, saying, "Too bad. That'll stain your hair FOREVER. OH NOEZ TOTAL HAX0RS. Bye bye losers"!
