Missed Love
To have lived a life always feeling as though I had missed something
To be dying and never knowing true love, in its purest form
A love that was meant to be
Then, to see you, my perfect love, my soul mate, at this time
As your life began and my life ended
Somehow, we both knew
We both wept
You were gracious to stay with me as long as you could
Crying when you had to leave
You knew I wasn't long for this world,
And somehow I knew you weren't either
Shortly after our meeting, I died
As this part of our story was revealed to me, in this, my next life,
All I could think was "damn...maybe next time..."
