I am so mad right now! scream
We had just opened up at work this morning and I was in the back cleaning up. I went up to the register to check and see if there was anyone else that needed to be checked out while one of the other workers was with another customer. There wasn't, but I noticed that the customer with my co-worker was beginning to get really frustrated because she couldn't figure out how to issue the lady a gift card. She was asking the manager for help, but he was with another customer...
So, I stepped over to help her out and began to go over how to get the gift card function on the register. In the middle, I was called away to help my new manager with something. Later, when the manager was in the back, the girl gave me the all time chew-out for helping her at the register and interfering with her sale.
Okay...I can understand why she would be so upset if our sales were something we got commission on, but they're not. What the hell?! I try to be nice and it gets thrust right back in my face! Maybe she thought the customer thought she was stupid because she couldn't figure out how to issue a gift card, but, in my experience working there, its better, if you don't know something, to just ask for help immediately instead of trying to stumble about on your own. Doing that leads to some pretty cranky customers and, as a result, we lose business.
I guess I should just mind my own business, but I was only trying to help, and it's not like I treated the girl as if she were an idiot!

The rantings of a slightly insane pixie
As the title states, these are the rantings of a slightly insane pixie. Beware dragons, witches, gargoyles, and, of course, look out for those darn fairies! (I should mention that they tend to take the strangest things...)
