• Dearest Mr.Claus,
I really don't know what to ask for.
Do I want something made from scratch
or should I ask for something from a store?
Should I ask for a ball to play catch?
Or a teddy bear to hug?
    I've always wanted a puppy,
maybe you can bring me a pug?

No, sorry, Mommy said that's too much.
Maybe you'll bring me an iPod touch?
But that's a little grown up,
    maybe a cute Dixie cup?
Maybe I want a remote control car,
    or maybe a Mousetrap game.
No, I want an electric guitar,
please give me a lion to tame!
Sorry, I went out of line again.
    Don't worry about the lion,
I only want a ballpoint pen.
But make it one that flashes lasers!
Can I have a sticker sheet?
The ones that are cute and puffy?
Then again I do need a new bicycle seat
or something for my pretend car
like dice that are green and fluffy.
I like chocolate chip granola bars,
but I don't think I want those for gifts.
    So then again, continuing on,
I might like a whole book of scratch n' sniffs!
Mama says I should end this list I keep expanding upon,
so instead of posing maybe's or if's
I suppose I should just come out and say,
    that I guess I'd be super-really happy
no matter what you gave me on Christmas day!

    P.S.-Don't tell Mommy,
but I really want the puppy
    anyway!
