• You know how some stories start out “once upon a time” and all that well, I don’t do that. My story begins when a girl of seventeen is riding her horse with her father, Sheik, who is king of Hyrule. She had blonde hair and blue eyes. “Eayona you are getting the of shooting an arrow while galloping.” Said her father. “Thank you father.” Said Eayona. They were almost at the castle when she asked “Father if Roy is our enemy why let him rest here?” he replied, “He swore he wouldn’t attack us.” “Oh, thanks for explaining that.” She said still suspicious. “Father can I stay out here and practice?” she begged. “Yes but be back in the castle at dusk.” He answered. “Okay father.” “Eayona I mean it.” He said seriously. “I know father.” She rode away.

When she stopped to rest for a bit she heard heavy hoof beats on the ground. She looked around and saw an enormous horse behind her. “Hello Eayona.” Said a familiar voice. When she saw who it was it was Roy’s son, Mavik, who is of the age eighteen. He had reddish-brown hair and blue eyes. “What do you want Mavik?” she asked sounding annoyed. “Don’t I get a hello?” he asked. “Hi. Now what do you want?” she asked very annoyed. “I came here to ask you on a date. Meet me outside the castle gates tonight.” He rode off. “Oh my. What am I going to tell mom and dad?” she said under her breath. The whole day she avoided her parents because she was so nervous that she would blurt it out to anyone.

That night she found Mavik, “What are we going to do?” she asked in a depressed tone. “You’re determined to have a bad time aren’t you?” he asked. “Maybe.” She replied. He rolled his eyes. “Come on. Let’s go.” He said as he grabbed her hand and ran to the open.

When they got to the area where they were going to eat she say an amazingly set up picnic. It even had a few candles. “Mavik this, this is amazing.” She said. “Is that a compliment I hear?” he asked. She blushed and turned her head. “Um, shall we eat?” he asked. She nodded yes. They ate in silence. When Eayona finished she stood up, “Well I better be heading back.” She said. “Yeah. Bye.” He said. “Bye.” She started walking away when something grabbed her from behind. She looked behind her and saw Mavik’s face inches from her’s. “Mavik what are you doing!?” she yelled. “Eayona I’m happy I got the courage to ask you out.” He said. She turned around to look at him, his arms were still around her. “I’m happy I came.” She said wrapping her arms around his neck. “Eayona I love you.” He said. “I love you too.” She whispered in his ear and kissed his cheek. He kissed her on the lips. She nearly jumped away but she stayed in his arms.

The sun was starting to rise, “Mavik I have to go home.” She said in a panicked voice. “It’s ok I’ll get you home.” He said. They ran the whole way to the castle, sadly he could go only to the gates. He pulled her back, “Eayona I don’t think I will see you again.” He said. “Why?” she asked. “We all have to go back to the Gerudo Desert where we live. We are leaving tomorrow. I’m sorry.” He said. “It’s okay. As long as I know you love me.” She said. “I do love you.” He said. “I know and I love you too. I really have to go.” She said. He gave one final kiss before she ran into the castle.

That afternoon Eayona was lying in her bed crying. I’m never going to see Mavik, she thought. Her mom walks in, “Eayona what’s wrong? Why are your eyes red?” she asked. “It’s nothing mom.” Said Eayona. “Eayona tell me the truth.” She said. “It’s nothing!” she said. Her mom walks out. The next day Eayona was standing at the gate watching Mavik and the others getting ready to go. “Mavik! She yelled because she wanted to see him one last time. He ran to her and she threw her arms around him. He kissed her cheek then her lips. “Eayona are you crazy? If my father saw you he could’ve hurt you.” He said. “I know but I wanted to see you.” She said. “Mavik get back over here.” Yelled Roy. “I have to go.” He let go of her and ran to his dad.

That night she was standing by her window thinking about Mavik. Just then a shadowed figure jumped in her room. “Eayona it’s me.” Said Mavik. “Mavik! You’re here!” she yelled quietly so she wouldn’t wake her mom and dad. He put his arms around her, she did the same. “Turns out we’re not leaving for a few more days.” He said. She rested her head on his chest “I’m happy.” She said. “Really?” Said a different voice. It was her mom. “Mother!” she stepped away from Mavik. Zelda walked towards Mavik with Sheik close behind her. “What do you think you’re doing my daughter?” asked Sheik. “Father please stop.” Eayona begged. Her mother started dragging her out of her room. “Mom let me go.” She said. “No he could hurt you.” Said Zelda. “MOM! Let me go.” Demanded Eayona, but Zelda tightened her grip. Eayona pulled herself out her mom’s grip and she ran to Mavik. He put his arms around her again, she did so too. “Let her go.” Said Sheik taking a step closer. “No, father I-I-I-I love him and he loves me too.”
