• It all began a long time ago, when an evil sorceress decided to put a horrible curse on a beautiful kingdom now known as Judge A Lot. All it had taken was a wave of her magic wand and the kingdom was changed forever. She began with a lovely forest. It had tall trees and gorgeous flowers. Some say the forest was enchanted. The trees had the greenest leaves in the land and each tree had crystals in the shape of teardrops hidden among the leaves. In the center of each flower there was a colorful crystal. When the bright sunlight spread its rays over the forest, it sparkled with breath-taking beauty. Therefore, it was named The Crystal Forest. Among all of this beauty, a narrow path led from the one side of the forest all the way to the other side. Both sides had magnificent beauty. However, after the wave of the evil sorceress' wand, the path became broken right in the middle. The only thing left in this break was a deep, dark hole. No one could cross over it, and if they tried, they would fall to their doom. This beautiful forest became a dangerous place to travel. If-by luck- a traveler trying to pass through did not fall into the hole, he or she would be cast into the middle of a beautiful crystal shard and be held there forever.
The evil sorceress had split the kingdom into two separate sides. The first side was very wealthy. There was a huge stone castle with poisonous water that flowed all around it. Each corner of the castle had a guard, dressed in shiny silver armor, waiting for intruders. Of course, a castle wouldn't be complete without a king and a queen, but this king and queen were evil. The king, even though he was evil, was an elegant looking man. He wore a purple robe made of the finest velvet and lined in silver with the finest satin. His name was King Judge because he made all of the decisions and all decisions were final. The queen was a graceful lady who wore a royal blue robe lined in silver, also made of the finest velvet and satin. Her name was Queen Squint because she would squint her eyes at anyone that was not perfect. The king would only allow perfect people in his kingdom of Judge A Lot. Together the two made a perfectly evil team and everyone was terribley afraid of them.
Along with the king and queen lived a beautiful princess. She was dressed in the most elegant robe of all. Her robe was pink with silver lining, also made of velvet and satin, but hers had shimmering jewels scattered all about it. The king and queen named her Princess Perfect in honor of their wonderful land. Even though the princess' name was Perfect, she did not agree with the way the land was ruled becauses she was friends with everyone, no matter how different they were. However, she could not utter a word for fear of being sent to the other side of the kingdom. She was also a very sad young lady because her charming prince had been sent far, far away. The king and queen had banished him because he had a slanted smile, and that would not do in this perfect land.
Along the broken path, on the other side, was the second half of the kingdom. This side was very poor since these people were not perfect enough for the king to help. The houses were in terrible need of fixing. There were missing shingles on the roofs, missing bricks on the houses and broken steps on the porches. The people were dressed in rags and were very sad. Most of them were split up from their families and missed them terribly. The king and queen had sent them away for the most ridiculous reasons. Some were sent away because they were too fat or too skinny, some because they were too short or too tall and some because they had a crooked nose or a slanted smile. In spite of it, all these people gave their side of the kingdom a most unique name. They called it Forget Me Not, because someday, they hoped the evil king and queen would be conquered, and if this ever happened, they hoped that they would not be forgotten.
One day the princess was sitting on her balcony, way up high, looking over the beautiful land and thinking.
"I just do not understand," she said, "Why can't we all live together and be happy? If only I could find my dear prince. He would surely know what to do."
As the days slowly dragged on the poor princess became more and more distraught. She longed for her gallant prince to come and live in the kingdom again, but she was beginning to feel that it was a hopeless dream. Once someone was banned from the perfect kingdom they were never allowed to return.
Then, one day, a loud booming voice echoed across the kingdom.
"Visitors," rang the loud booming voice.
The people of the kingdom heard all of the commotion and poked their heads out of their windows and doors to see what it was all about. This was a rare occasion, since there were few safe ways to enter the kingdom fo Judge A Lot. Therefore, everyone was curious to see who was coming.
"Someone is coming," sang the loud booming voice again.
The people hurried out of their houses and soon the whole kingdom buzzed with curiosity and excitement.
In the distance three figures could be seen moving toward the castle. As they drew closer, the people saw a young man, a wizard and a unicorn. The young man was wearing a dark yellow velvet robe lined in silver with shimmering jewels scattered about it. At his side he carried a large sword in a sheath decorated in dragon symbols with ruby red eyes. The wizard was a short man with long white hair and a long white beard. He wore a long black satin robe with silver moons and stars decorating it and-to match- he had a pointy hat, with the same symbols of the sun and moon sitting lightly on top of his head. The unicorn was the most magnificent creature anyone had ever seen. Its coat was sleek and as white as the snow. Its mane and tail sparkled with golden specks every time it moved. The unicorn's eyes were gentle and deep blue in color, but right between them, on top of its head, there was a beautiful golden horn that pointed straight up to the sky. The three made a handsome bunch, but their eyes were determined to conquer their quest.
"Who goes there?" bellowed the king.
"It is I," answered the unfamiliar voice.
    "I who?" spat the king.
"It is I, Prince Perfectnot," he said as he stepped directly in front of the king.
"Prince Perfectnot? I banned you from this kingdom. Your smile is too slanted. You do not belong here. And who are these trespassers that you have brought with you?" roared the king.
"Well," replied the prince, "This here is Booga Booga, the great wizard of all the lands, and this is Unicorn, the great horned horse who possesses great magical powers."
"Leave at once," odered the king.
"No, we will not! We are here to banish you for your evil ways. It is not right to send people away just because they are different," said the prince.
    "Guards," roared the king.
"Stop!" exclaimed the prince, "You have done enough evil."
The wizard stepped forward and touched the king and queen on the tops of their heads with his magic want.
"Undo this evil," chanted the wizard.
In a moment's time, King Judge was turned into thick black sludge that oozed around the castle instead of the poisonous water. Queen Squint was turned into a piece of lint that gently floated in the air right above the thick black sludge.
"Oh my!" exclaimed the princess as she ran to the side of her dear prince.
Now that the evil curse had been broken, and the evil king and the evil queen no longe existed, the land began to transform. The big dark black hole in the middle of the broken path of The Crystal Forest, completely disappeared. The travelers that had fallen into the deep hole magically reappeared on the soft green grass. They were a bit dazed and confused, but that would pass momentarily. Now that the terrible hole had disappeared, the path began to reconnect itself. The lovely teardrop shaped crystal shards shattered with great force, sending their prisoners floating softly to the ground. The shattered crystal rained down onto the reconnecting path and looked like glittering diamonds upon the sand.
The people from both sides of the kingdom ran to greet each other. Everyone was so happy and excited to be reunited with their loved ones, for they had not seen each other in many, many years.
"Now, we absolutely must do something with this awful sludge and lint," said the prince.
So, without hesitation, the unicorn stepped up to the oozing black sludge and gently touched it with its magical golden horn. In a moment's time the sludge began bubbling and crackling around the castle and in one mystical instant the sludge vanished into thin air. Now, flowing around the castle walls was a gorgeous stream of fresh sparkling blue water. Oohs and aahs escaped from the crowd of awed people as the unicorn stepped up to the piece of floating lint. Softly, the unicorn touched its golden horn to the piece of lint. The lint gave a shuddering flutter as an odd shimmering rainbow formed up and over the castle. Although the rainbow was very pretty, the colors were all in backward order, but no one said a single word. They were all happy with the shimmering rainbow just the way it was.
"The evil curse has been broken. From this day on Kingdom Judge A Lot will be called Judge Not. No one here will ever be judged or sent away again. We will welcome all newcomers and we will accept everyone just the way they are," said the prince.
A roar of hoots and hollers drifted up over the crystal trees and high up into the sky.
When the ringing noise boiled down to a soft, murmuring roar, a red-haired gentleman stepped forward with something in his hands.
"My dear prince," he said with a bow, "All of us here today would like to make you and the princess our new rulers."
"Hip, hip, hooray," they all cheered.
The red-haired man stepped up to Prince Perfectnot and placed an amazing golden crown, decorated with the rarest jewels, on top of the prince's head. Next the re-haired man stepped away with a sweft bow and moved over to Princess Perfect. He placed the second golden jeweled crown, which was just as dazzling as the prince's, on top of her head. Then stepped back with a bow.
Once again the air erupted with another roar of hoots and hollers. Then, yet again, the red-haired man stepped forward and raised his arm high into the air, and a chorus of hooves clipping and clopping rang out as a dazzling sight approached everyone's eyes. A gorgeous white carriage with dark yellow seats was drawn right up next to the prince and princess by twelve white horses. Each beautiful horse had silver sparkles shimmering in their tails and manes and they were all decorated with pink and yellow bows. The prince and princess were greatly surprised and stepped slowly into the waiting carriage. The people cheered as the prince and princess waved and smiled.
"Thank you, my good people," said the prince.
With a swift snap of the reins, the carriage rolled off into the setting sun and they all lived happily ever after.
