• A World Apart: part 1

It was another day that he traveled, another day where he was accused, and lied to, and blamed, and hurt. He needed an outlet. So, after many days, he considered different options for a small, but needed, escape from society. He adjusted his cloak, it swirling around his legs, and headed for the road out of Central. He walked for what seemed like days, but really only hours. Very soon, he made it to his escape route: the town of Konoha. It looked interesting enough, and from what people said, it was a fun city to be in. He walked through the large entrance gates and made his way to a hotel, not really noticing his surroundings. He walked slowly, the ground slightly uneven. He was unaware of the danger that ran strait into him.

It was that time again. She always wondered why she kept going back, waiting there. The pain never ended, and it never would she kept going. But she did, she wanted to see him, just one more time. But, like always, he left her. She brushed her nurse's outfit off and placed her headband back onto her pink hair. She always was one to stand out. She walked out of the hospital and made her way onto the dirt roads of her home. She smiled at the young children that ran past her and went to practice for the academy. She kept her head down, wondering if today would be any different from usual. She walked for a while, her feet leading her. When she looked up, it was only to lead her to crashing into someone, someone who hugged her as she fell.

Edward didn't know what happened, but on instinct, he held the person close to him, shielding them from the impact. He opened his golden eyes to stare at a frightened pink haired, green eyed girl. He blushed lightly, and helped her up. It didn't help that she was in a dress. She looked at him, and he became slightly conscious of his appearance. But it didn't matter.

"ah! I'm sorry! I wasn't watching where I was going." She said, rubbing her hand on the back of her head. He nodded, smiling almost unnoticeably. She smiled too, her teeth gleaming.
"I'm Edward Elric." He stuck out his hand, and she took it in hers.

"I'm Sakura Haruno. Pleased to meet you!" He nodded, and shook hands. If she noticed the change in temperature in his hands, Sakura didn't show it. She babbled lightly about how she should at least get him lunch since he helped her and took the fall. She lead him to a small restaurant, where they spent three hours learning about each other.

(It may seem like a long time, but bare with me, here!) It was getting late when Sakura noticed that she hadn't gone to wait, and that she had spent it with an-almost stranger.

"Ack! I was supposed to be at the hospital an hour ago!" Sakura said, looking at her watch. Edward, stifling a giggle at his friend's antics, got up and put money on the table. He put his arms on Sakura's shoulders, and turned her towards the door. He started to push her when she laughed and walked forward quickly, making Edward fall to the ground. They laughed, but soon left for the hospital, and the hotel.

    ~*~ NEXT DAY~*~

Edward should have known that if you argue with a ninja, you're going to get hurt. You see, that night, he argued with an energetic blonde who said that he was stealing Sakura away from him. Edward, not even knowing who this person was, challenged him to a fight, where they both got hurt; badly. They ended up in the hospital, in the same room, next to each other. It really helps, doesn't it? They waited in silence for the nurse to patch them up so they could continue their fight. Then, a few minutes later, they heard footsteps out in the hall, walking slowly to the door.. When it opened, a surprised Sakura entered.

"Either of you care to explain why you are here before I kil- I mean, 'fix' you?" Edward and the blonde (I'm just going to say his name from now on) gulped in fear. A few minutes later, they were healed of everything, except for the large bumps on their skulls. Sakura shook her head, and exited the room. Naruto ran after her, begging her for something, but Edward stayed in the bed thinking. He had to admit that his new friend was pretty, but she had many boys after her. He could tell from the way people watched her in the streets. He would never admit it, but Edward Elric was crushing on Sakura Haruno.

How was that? I really want to finish this, but I kinda don't want to. I mean, it was fun to write, but it was a little hard for me to write. SO, that's why I am leaving this story in IEdward_Elric87's hands. GOOD LUCK! xd
