• "Are you asking me to spring you out of a maximum security prison so I can SEE YOU IN YOUR NATURAL HABITAT??? ARE YOU CRAZY??" I screamed at the red-headed queen of Hell, who sat across from me at the glass table, her red eyes seemingly glowing in the light from the fire that she had generated after her magick had caused the electricty to go out.

"Yes, I think I am. I have no people to torture, no subjects to snap at, no armies to command against the other weakling races, nothing. I don't have Zen, either. AND IN CASE YOU HAVEN'T NOTICED, I ALSO HAVEN'T HAD A BATH IN TWO WEEKS, AFTER ALL THESE RETARDED GUARDS ENDED UP DYING BECAUSE I POSIONED THEM!" She snapped at me, her fire roaring up 5 feet higher in her anger. She sighed, shook her head, then dropped her head into her hands and remained frozen like that for several seconds, breathing deeply. I could see her struggle to remain in control.

"Okay. I'll spring you...but you have to promise to remain with me at all times." I said softly, hoping to stay on this..engima's good side. I had a feeling that her bad side would be horrible, considering the fact that she was probably mentally off her rocker. A little part of me also kind of wanted to go over to her side. I think it had something to do with her, because she had some kind of...charm about her. Something drew me to her, made me sympathise with her, made me want to do whatever I could to make her life a little bit better, at least after all that had happened to her.

Her head popped up, and she grinned brightly at me, her fangs flashing at me. Then, all of a sudden, there came a squeak. We both looked down at the little black mouse she had named Vanrir. It stood up on it's back legs and squeaked again, then it grew. As it grew, it changed...into a man. The man had long black hair, down to his shoulders and the same bright red eyes. "Vanrir...what a surpise." She smirked, suggesting otherwise. stared at the man in confusion. Then it hit me with a collision like a semi truck speeding and hitting a car. She had planned this! The man, Vanrir, smirked down at me, revealing long fangs that were needle sharp. "Hey, Hadesia, who's the girl? Why are you in prison?" He slumped down in a chair, his red eyes glued to me the entire time he was speaking to her. He also polished his fingernails while speaking.

"Vanrir....her name is Gabi, and she's here to observe me. I'm in prison because of that stupid idiot of a ruler of the humans Hell, aka Lucifer, ratted out on me. I have a sneaking suspicion that Gabi here is a water nymph. Are you, Gabi?" Hadesia lifted her head, tilting her chin upwards. I sighed and then pushed a little bit of my magick out of my system, causing water to hit Vanrir in the face. He yelped and fell out of his chair. Hadesia broke up into laughter, hovering near the ceiling.

"One question before we leave, Hadesia. How do you know Vanrir?" I asked, waving away my water. Hadesia gracefully landed next to Vanrir and pulled him up to a standing position, then glided around to the head of the table and stared at the hard plastic chair. She closed her eyes and then snapped her fingers, then opened them. Where the old plastic chair had been was a marble...well, the best word for it would have to have been throne. She sat down and then sucked in a deep breath before answering me.

"Vanrir's my....creator. Well, sort of. It's complicated. Vanrir actually is the first vampire ever created. He was one of the first people on this earth, and he has no idea how he became a vampire. To make a very long story short, he used to be my language teacher...until we fell in love and I had his child. He turned me into a vampire after that. And after that...I got caught up in another's man's lies and staked Vanrir...who didn't die. And it gets more complicated than that, but we really have to get out of here. If you can open the door and get us out in the hallway, Vanrir and I can do the rest. All you have to do is follow. Got that?" She stood up and then reached behind her, pulling out a sheathed sword. She smirked. "It's go time, Vanrir."

I stared in disbelief. "You're actually going to fight them?? Are you insane ???" She smirked.

"Very. Now, are you done questioning me? Yes, I am going to fight them. What else would I do?? Stand there and ask them if they wanna have a damn tea party??" She dripped sarcasm. Vanrir snickered then tossed her a little black gun. She put her high heeled leg up on the table and holstered the gun. "Now, remember to stick to either me or Vanrir because I have a feeling that you have little to no experience fighting." She motioned for me to open the door.

I walked to the door and typed in the four-digit password, then stepped back. Two guards walked into the room, glaring at Hadesia. Vanrir was hiding in the shadows, watching and waiting. As soon as the men stepped into the room, Vanrir lept out and grabbed one guard, pulling him close and leaning down and ripping out his throat, a spray of blood hitting the opposite wall. He dropped the corpse and grinned at me, blood staining his teeth. The other one stared at the corpse at Vanrir's feet in sheer terror. He looked at me and mouthed 'What?' before Hadesia fell upon him and plunged her hand into his chest, squeezing his heart, and smirking at him before she ripped his heart straight from his chest. She allowed the body to fall before crushing the heart in her fist. She smirked at Vanrir then casually strolled into the hall. Vanrir followed and I went after him, glancing back at the two bodies in horror. What was I going to become??
