Out in the fields of war and death I am tasked in the sole purpose of laying rest to those men and women who's life have been taken away by their enemies or by those who they're fighting against, though I bare no quarrel with either factions, with either flag, or beliefs, I bare no arms to harm nor to heal but I do bare arms of comfort to those who've departed but remain invisible around us. To comfort an angry, lonely, confused soul may not be so easy at first for those who would soon follow before me, but, it is however a royal duty that have existed long since the first wars of men and for the longest time of this war torn world, men and women like us, we have no conflicts with or against anyone.

We can defend ourselves but not to the point of taking life, but, to ease them to cease their aggression towards us for nothing good can come of it.

There are no technologies nor magic abilities hat support us in comforting or seeing the dead who still roam around us, we do feel them though even though the coincidence of weather and climate is present or not, it is not a natural thing we inherit nor was it a gift from those we worship or not, we can just tell that we're in the presence of those who's soul has departed.

It is not a lonely life nor is it a sad and painful life to be in, it is a path we either chose or not, whether we hate it, accept it, or doing it because we have to, but we do it either way because no soul should be stranded in the darkness of which their body remains and the battlefield is a dark and cold environment to be left there, we carry empty caskets though to you they may be empty but to us, we carry the souls of those men and women who serve our flags and our safety.

We carry their souls so that we can bring them home and to ask what we do to comfort them well it is the trip home that we use as a tool to comfort them and it's a long walk we take to their destination, the journey and communion we have with them is what helps ease their woes and restlessness.

Our job title bare no name though others would provide that and the only words that is most popular among the living is "Ghost Shepard" which is what we are.

Fear us, love us, respect us, hate us, envy us, we're no heroes for praise or glory, but we are humans who wants the dead to know that they're still humans in spirit.
