I've recently taken up the pass time of fishing. I never thought I'd find pleasure in such an activity, but it seems with nothing else taking up my precious time, I'm free to indulge in the slow paced lifestyle of a fisherman. Or, I guess, fisherwoman.

It's not really as slow paced as I would have thought. The fish here in Gaia don't like being reeled in and put up quite the fight. Mostly I can only get in the smallest of whatever that particular water spot yields, but at least it's better than nothing. Not that I get nothing very often. Usually, I drag in more trash. It truly is amazing how many people swim with their boots on or throw their old tires into the water instead of recycling them with Sam at the Auto store.

I went fishing right around sunset today and had probably one of the best days yet. I caught several guppies and a few Bass at Bass'kin Lake, which is becoming quite the norm for me. Then I decided to head over to Port of Gambino, where I can find bigger and feistier fish. My favorite one is the pink Seedkin because not only is it a slight challenge, but it's cute to boot. And pink, of course. Usually I'm lucky if I reel in five fish in the midst of all the garbage I pull out, but tonight I doubled that and caught ten. TEN! It was amazing. One was even one of those rainbow trout that I see others catching.

Old Man Logan at the fishing store is pretty cool about trading fish with me so that I don't have to carry around quite so many of the smelly things. He is very impressed whenever I bring in ten of any kind and will usually trade me for something bigger and better. Maybe he can give me a part time job working in his store to help me get money to pay for the fishing bait I use.

On the other hand, why would I want to spend so much time working in such a fishy environment?

Oh, and in other news, I got word that one of my friends from my old world has joined me here in Gaia. I'm very glad to have her join me here and I hope she enjoys the world as much as I do. It's nice to be able to share some of my new joy with someone else.
