I decided that it was time to do some serious remodeling on my house. So, I went out today and wandered through the housing arena and looked at other people's houses to see if I could get some ideas on how to make my cozy little abode more appealing. People have some very creative ideas out there. And some very out there ideas, too.

After wandering around the arena for awhile, I then went over and did a little window shopping and pricing at the Faktori and marketplace. I think I've decided on the furniture that I would ultimately like to have when I'm through with my remodel, but it's a spendy little project I'm looking at, so I'll have to patiently make do with what I have for now. It may not be the fanciest stuff, but at least it's not nothing. I could be living college student style, with boxes-turned-tables and a board for a bed. I did buy a few things while I was out, some new wallpaper and carpeting, that kind of thing, but I tried to keep my purchasing to only the necessities.

Then it was time to roll up the sleeves and put in some real work. I hired a crew to help me expand my house a bit to give me some more room. When they finished that, I tackled the wallpaper and carpet. Then I pulled out my furniture and rearranged several times until I finally settled on a set-up that makes me feel comfortable and at home.

I think I'm happy with what I've come up with. And until I can afford to get some more of the nice expensive furniture, I think I can be satisfied in what I've got going on there. I can't wait to have my friends over to visit. Maybe I should think about throwing a small house-warming party of my own....
