Leonard McCoy

His gaze followed the captain’s fall to the floor. It seemed odd that he hadn’t tried to keep Jim from falling, well, in truth McCoy had hoped the latter (being knocked out) wouldn't happen. Bones eyed the hypo in hand, frowning. Someone clearly had labeled it wrong. s**t. he cursed inwardly.

“well ,a little late for that..” McCoy muttered in response to Arislinora. “Request from the captain? You do realize, even small request are dangerous…” the doctor knelt down beside Jim, reached out, feeling for a pulse. He wanted to make sure the captain was just knocked out and not dead. Bones wasn’t up to having Spock as captain again. Logical pointy ear b*****d. “Though, whatever it is, you’ll have to wait for me to finish this up…or head up to the bridge and talk to Spock..”

He had the power to aid the woman with her request but he'd rather push the paper work to Spock.

Shaking his head, the doctor shuffled Kirk in his arms, bringing him up onto the bed. “The captain will be awake in a couple of mintues..the sedatives aren’t as powerful.” McCoy glanced over to Arislinora, “I don’t mean to be rude Counselor, but I need to get this finished up quickly.”

Another time or place, he’d have taken the time to speak with her. She wasn’t bad looking and didn’t seem completely concerned with his and Kirk’s bantering. He leaned in close to his friend, making sure there wasn’t any damage. No gash, blood, nothing. Well, McCoy couldn’t analyze that any brain damage had happened. “Jim…I swear...you're such a drama queen...” The doctor used his medical scanner across the length of Kirk’s body.

The humming from the device gave no indication of anything wrong. Not even a bleep. A doctor’s dream almost. He left the bedside, and headed towards the main computer. McCoy shooed the nurse using it at the moment. He attached his scanner into the computer. Words flew on the screen with an image of the captain appearing.
His fingers flew on the touch screen, moving from page to page. The scanner hadn’t picked up an strange abnormities, and the trace of the mud flea was completely gone. That planetary visit had been quite a pain in the a** for the good doctor. Apparently even the simple flea evolved, rendering the vaccine they had useless. One crewman had fallen to the disease.

McCoy rolled his eyes, shutting the file down on the computer giving it back to the nurse. Back at the bedside, Bones lightly smacked the side of Kirk’s face, “Wake up Jim…”

All I have left is my bones..
