Leonard McCoy

Leonard didn’t want to know. He was too sleep deprived to care at the present time being. He just wanted to get the medical examination over with. Jim was the hardest to keep locked down. McCoy was determined to at least have one completed record of the Captain before they ever return to Starfleet.

Also, if it came down to force…Bones had a few sedative hypos in his pockets. Quite handy when you were dealing with a psychopathic crewman, or Jim Kirk.

Bones cleared his throat slightly, crossing his arms, starring at the man. These simple gestures worked for the moment. He had the Captain on the move to the sick bay, but keeping him there was another story. Jim.” His tone alone was laced with the impending doom of blowing a fuse.

Following Jim into the elevator behind him, he sighed heavily. This was a chore. He could easily just sign Jim off, like he had done a few years back. But damnit, he was a doctor, not a slacker.

“Oh? This is my happy face…” Bones remarked to his friend

Within the confines of the medical bay, he was greeted briefly by the head nurse before he tended to Jim. He wasn’t at all surprise that his friend picked a spot next to a female. that man never stops… he thought to himself as he grabbed his med pad from where he left it. He brought up Jim’s data from the last time and any other medical data on the Captain of that year.He nodded a word of thanks to the nurse that brought over a tray with the necessary equipment.

“How about no.” he replied coolly.

Kirk acted like a child, or at least it felt like he was dealing with him. He already had his own kid, he didn’t need another one lingering around him. McCoy frowned softly as he filed through the data pad in his hands. The thought of his own kid brought painful memories. His ex-wife had made sure he wouldn’t see her again. Hell, he hadn’t even seen his daughter born due to the divorce.

He shook his head, as if that would erase the rise of curses wanting to spew from his lips. Even after ten years and being in space, that woman could still sink her devilishly claws into him. “Jim, leave my patients alone…and again…leave my nurses alone. Don’t think I don’t know of your habits.”
Bones glanced up from the medical notes when Jim declared he could do jumping jacks, proving he was healthy. Sighing wearily at Jim’s antics, McCoy took out one of sedative hypos, “Jim, I don’t want to complete the medical examination with you under. But,” a grin formed, “I will if you don’t sit down.”

Captain or not. Bones was in charge down here, “…and trust me, I believe all the kinks of your reactions should be non existent….your ego, will remain the same size.” He glanced towards the female patient that seemed to have enjoyed the attention of Jim. “If you’ll excuse us. Nurse Chapel will help you.” The girl seemed reluctant to leave but with a quick glare from McCoy, she scooted off to find the nurse.

With Jim settled or as settled as he was going to be, McCoy injected him with the first of many. “Now…tell me how you feel? Big hands? Numb tongue? Or my favorite: knocked out?” Of course if it was the latter, he could do this in peace.

All I have left is my bones..
