But WHY is the camera gone?! gonk

Well I went in and there were two subs who watched me put the camera up and I started recording the class.
20 minutes later, which was all I needed really, some a*****e figured out it was recording. OHNOES.

He was starting to touch it, so I immediately stood up and yelled him to get away from it, which put me to blame(not that my name wasn't written on the camera anyway).

Mass hysteria ensued. Instantaneously, this wave of people ran over to the camera, and flicked it off. You're so hurt by being recorded yet you get up close to give it the bird? WHY THAT'S ENGENIOUS.

Well, I showed the teacher how to turn it off, then I got it back. People accussed me that I was still recording audio(And being in situations like this before- tons of times, actually, I wasn't taking my chances with keeping the camera on). But I lost it, stood up, showed them all the blank LCD screen screen and screamed "It's ******** off, you dickheads"(Or actually.. I don't remember what I said, but I think I said that)

Put the camera away, and everyone was talking about stealing the camera later, which drove me paranoid, because this shitty camera is like my whole carreer. So I'll be damned if someone will steal it off me.

Class ended, everyone left, I was with Evan, I put camera in his possession so if they jumped me later I wouldn't have it(And Evan doesn't have people from this class in his others- I do)

Well I guess we just lingered one minute too long because the teacher came up and asked me to see what I had recorded. I said it was twenty minutes long, so I couldn't stay. She insisted she wanted to see it anyway.
So I showed her how to use the camera, turn it on, play, and turn it off, and said she could have it for the day(Like I said expierence in these types of situations; the more compliant you are, the less trouble you get in- plus I wanted to keep my tape)

So I go back after school's over to try and get my camera back. She says I'm not getting it back until the tape's erased. I said(not rude, but I suppose it sounded as such considering the content) "But you don't know how to erase the tape".
She replied, "Oh yes, I do".

Yeeeahhh. Didn't even know how to stop recording and you know how to erase a tape. rolleyes

Anyway, she said she was going to show the tape to some other guy(I'm guessing either administrator or tech guy) and then it would be erased, and then I'd get it back.

Well, all I hope is that I DO get the TAPE back(assuming they record over it), that my camera is in one piece, and that they do not completely ruin my tape via magnet or ripping it. Because Digital 8 tapes are not only ******** hard to find, but they're expensive. And that was a brand new tape.

So I better get it back.

Oh, and for clarfication, I did tell the teachers I was doing this a week a go. They said it was a good idea. The only teacher that was there today(that wasn't a sub) claimed she forgot I asked. Could be liable, since it was a week ago, but I DID ask, she DID say yes, and I was compliant.

Regardless, She said I probably owuldn't get in trouble.
I'm bring a tape recorder tomorrow. It won't be the same as sight, but I am determined to let you guys know how
